this bass is no joke!
PowerHouse407 replied to soundstream15's topic in Tunez - All things music related
wtf......lololol -
yes forgot to mention this. so if you will be overpowering them then a smaller box is okay but if you are just doing the Rms then bigger it goes
-
and if you really want mid bass you could make custom door panels for your front stage with an 8 on both sides followed with some 6s and tweets but then your talking some $$$ and work
-
tuning lower is to hit lower notes. but if your looking for more mid bass don't look at your 15s for that much help. sure you can tune to 45hz and hit the mids if you want but the bass would fade away on a lot of songs. and the vvx is skar audio right? well they are based off of the sundown sa line but have there differences but i know Sas can be put in a larger box no problem. but i don't have any experience myself with the vvx line so they could be act different.
-
dood in this thing i would pick up a 2nd vvx and build a big box around 8-9 cubes tuned to 32 hz with a bottom slot port.
-
yeah this is in a trunk car right? and yeah sup up port back is fine some don't like it but with 15s and 18s sometimes you don't have a option. and i would check out Audioque as well you can tune them higher and they still hit low.

need help making a box for 8 12s
PowerHouse407 replied to 9blazer8's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
if it was tuned to 28 it should be hitting the lows. how much port area per cube do you have? and make sure all your crossovers and filters on you amp and head unit are set right. -
how much room do you have for this box for the 18?
-
yeah when ever a car has 6x9s they are all you hear because the sound hits the rear window the goes to you. but i would say to get a amp for the 6x9s and 4x6s then get 4 small tweeters to run off of the headunit.
-
yeah also look into better speakers them self that can take more power. then throw the right 4 channel amp on them.
-
don't get so snippy bro but i would suggest a good 4 channel amp for your mids and highs first and then go from there. trust me there is a BIG diffrence between head unit power and the power of a 4 chan amp!

Making Bus Bars - Finished!
PowerHouse407 replied to Purplehaze's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
yeah it tuned out really nice. Maby get some thicker stuff like these guys said but other than that great job. -
i am 99% sure you will not be able to fit a 18 in that car with the proper size box. with that being said i would get a 15" look at the audioque sdc2.5 and hdc3 15s and yes you will want to do the big 3. and if your running less then 1000 rms then you should be fine with stock alt and battery as long as you done the big 3 in quality wire and that your amp is powered by 4 or 0 gauge wire and is grounded properly.

i really don't trust most stereo shops. and idk about sony and yeah you will most likely want to run a amp to them.
