i need to find an enclosure tuning calculator.. for 2 xl 18s tuning 32hz and 12cubes.. something where i can put in all the values and displacments from baffle to driver dislacements and everything.. i wanna build this right.. thanks

wire a dual 1 in series to 2ohm.. if u dont kno how go to youtube cause it would make more since to watch and learn.. a D1 can be wired to .5 and 2ohm.. but consider impedance rise. so u wont be gettin the full 1200rms from each amp..

what would it be? a 1k or 1200? or somethin like that? i would shit if he made a mono 15k. not a fan of dual monos rated at .5 each channel.. youll never see the power

probaby your coil is rubbin cause your pushin it on the side of cone instead of the middle.. put all fingers around the dust cap then push down slowly.. it shouldnt rub unless your coil unwound but u should see that threw the air holes on bottom of basket.. if coil is black usually there blown

Haha.. well with all the uncertainty I suppose Ill just scratch the idea and run at 1 ohm.. I know the amp can definanetly handle it (0.5), and I feel my electrical could as well... But Ill just either re-cone or sell it and buy 2 new ones with the correct coils. thess amps can be ran all day on .3 ohm.. SOMEONE told me this on the phone.. and after rise who cares.. i seen a guy run a pair of ap1800s strapped at .5ohm ya thats .25 on each amp b4 rise.. and he had 2 subs and rising to 2ohm... he dont hav any problems.. and ap are the best amps.. like dc

not exactly.. if u noticed the sundown 4500 is rated 4500rms @ 12.8v and dc 5k is rated 5000rms @ 14.4v.. and i believe dc and sundown have zenon boards.. since the dc did 25 more watts makes since becuase dc did the power at .97 and sundown at 1..so there probably the same exact boards?

Ya i had lvl3 15 w/lvl4s coils and it loved 1200rms.. But got warm after 15 mins of hard play.. Was on a saz-1500

you kno there is such a thank as box rise.. wiring @ .7 wouldnt hurt any one ohm stable amp cause it will rise past 1ohm more like 1.4ohm and dc amps can be ran at .3ohm all day and it was actally seein .3ohm

have fun with all that rise.. waste of money in my opinion.. when 4-5 8s have the same cone area as 1 15.. and 15s have more efficiency because there louder with less power.. good luck and wire to very low impedance.. usual rise is .7ohm on each sub in a ported box.. but ya for a wow factor thats badass and will surely move air!

so your sayin u saw each amp do 3750 each on 12v and just under 2ohm on each amp? or 2ohm on strapped pair? each amp seeing 1ohm.

i asked rusty himself what DC Audio standed for and he said Direct Current Audio! to get the truth ask the man himself.. they do not copy!! most companies like AQ AB DC SD FI AA use the same baskets.. they all dont match either but if u look at them all you will see matching baskets! which has nothing to do with performance! performance comes from motor and coil. the coil being an electro magnet when seeing power.

im glad to see this score im wanting 2 xl 18s on 2 aq2200s tuned to 32hz in a blazer so its great to see true scores from half the system ill have.. i want to break 150.. and i can see tha'll be doable.. what was your peaking frquency? I could see you breaking 150 no problem.. and it was 42HZ I believe ? i also wanted to kno how it does on the lows and low lows like 20-25hz? im planning on puttin subsonic on 25hz.. does it over excurt on say 20-25hz? im thanking not much? what have u clamped? The box is tuned to 32hz, made by Dave the Box Guy. I do have my subsonic on about 25hz with the AQ 2200 and she can get pretty low for sure. Its not too too loud at 25hz because it starts to taper off.. but it murders anything above that. My favorite notes are probably 28-34 hz. The 28hz notes are gross But no ive never gotten around to clamping it yet. But dont get me wrong, its still loud at 25 hz. sounds nice but ill also have double the cone area so probably 20hz will get mashed! but ill watch the volume on 20hz if i ever play that low.. i love low lows..

have any of u heard of impedance rise? plus the box hes puttin them in they could handle 1300rms a piecee of clean power no problem in 1.5cu ft.. if he knos wat he is doing. ya the amp should do 4500+rms @ 1 but after rise it will be 2ohm or greater.. sealed boxes dont rise much but u still have 4 subs in small boxes.. id say give them all the clean power u can but make sure box is strong cause it might grenade on the lows!

But tests have shown that XLs get louder when theyre on lower power (I think it was up to 3500wrms). Idk whether or not the power was clamped. I'd assume so i saw something about this too but idk if i do this setup each XL would be on a AQ2200D or the pair starpped at 1 ohm so 2200wrms to each sub before rise and voltage drop (if i have any ) if you strap too 1ohm each amp is seeing .5 b4 rise.. so thats way more power than 2200 each.. even at 1ohm they do rated power at around 13v.. but after rise you should see 4-5k but many variables apply..

Maybe you could put a huge 8 or 9" aeroport in the middle or whatever size u may need for the tuning you need..
