Fi Sp4's Sundown Z's Ssa subs Just a few I can think of that are supposed to be low end monsters. Edit: AA SMD I think the AA Mayhem as well.
-
Just throwing this out there. Why not try and get a second 100.1? I would think it be more power than 1 2200
-
Of course there are better subs out there. DDZ, warden, lvl 6 lol. But seriously I love my AQ's and I think they sound great, it's no SQ woofer but it sounds good to me, what "sounds good" is all user preference. Have you built multiple boxes with the HDC3's and tried them in every scenerio? Or do you just read about them online and how they "dont get low" and dont "sound good"? Lmao
-
How do you know it wont be louder? And what's wrong with AQ?
-
I think so.... But those AQ's will laugh at that power, unless you have a really efficient box.
-
Are you wired at 1 ohm? And is that 1500rms rating at 12v?

what causes engine noise in your system?

Run your rcas away from any power or speaker wires. Get a good ground on chasis and sand to bare metal. If you have a pioneer unit ground your rca's. -

Ky ftw. There's alot more local ppl on here than I thought. -
Can you explain why it might be peaky? AQ/DD love alot of port.
-
That looks like it should work great.
-
Yeah but I really, really doubt a regular ported box with 2 12s will fit, unless you build it to do so.

What kind of car?

I had 0 noise from my sub man. The ground was on the frame and it had been my ground forever and I had ran other multichannel amps no problem. But for some odd reason it just came out of nowhere, and it did'nt affect my subs at all. idk just something to try if nothing else works imo. Edit: and if you have some extra 0awg you could just try it without running it under the carpet or whatever, soo if it works it works, if it does'nt then o well just unhook it.

I literally just had this problem. I fixed it by running a ground from the batt to the amps. Although I only had my 2 channel amp for a day or so then the noise appeared, but the alt whine would only come if I ran full tilt then turned it down. And it didnt always make the noise then. It was weird but the ground was causing it in my situation.

Ok, thanks for the input man, it's appreciated.

My thoughts exactly... With the power I have, I know wont be enough, but double the power and then we're talking.
