  1. i currently have a 9515 DD and an AQ 2200, but im getting a tahoe ! and working full time this summer , so thinking of a build with a DC 7.5k. i currently love my 9515 DD but im not exactly sure what to do, dc lvl5's or what? but that is more of a simple decision. Im more of wondering what it would cost for everything on 7.5k two 15" ( DD's or DC's atm ) plus batteries and all.... can someone with this kind of build tell me sort of the cost for all? and not sure if two 15"s or what ! any ideas would be greatly appreciated and taken into thought. will post build if i can get ahold of everything!
  2. how much would a 15" SMD be? for trade with a 9515? ha, yeah when ilooked at it coil looks good but i guess i havnt blown any of my subs yet so ..haha
  3. I need a new car bad! but i only have 3 grand cash atm =(. So my problem is i don't want to be like everyone at my school and havea pontiac grand am or a grand prix. i want something a little more sportier and ..hopefully..for this price haha.. some power. I kinda want a ricer or something that will stand out more and make people look. I will put more money into it say as rims, carbon fiber hood, spoiler etc. So if anyone has any ideas of a decent car that , if at all, looks pretty badass....please tell me ha ha. thanks
  4. 120? lol come on now. you could do that with headunit power, let alone 600 watts. haha hey im being sacrastic haha. well twisted's components were 112 if im correct haha . i watched that vid
  5. oh spl is "sound pressure level" also if you did not know that
  6. why would you look for spl with that? haha..just my .02 ..your gunna be hitting like 120 hah. SPL is for comps kid
  7. I dont have any upgraded coils or anything umm.. yeh i played it today and was watching the port on low volume and when it hits mor of low i can hear a slapping kind of noise in the port but i cant reach very far into it since its at an akward angle but me holding it helps it out.... bracing issue?!
  8. oh yeh woops port is 2" high, running a 9515 DD and no deigns is all good for the box.. running on an AQ 2200
  9. it shouldnt be that the , they are barely hitting at that volume! oh and when i was swapping the sub from the old box i could see probly half an inch of the coil.. and it was like the color of a raisin kinda of browinish darker, not like copper....... i don't remember it coming like that
  10. ok here are my box specs, 16" tall.. with double baffle .75" mdf... 28" wide and 30" deep, port is 26.5" wide and 26" deep which is roughly 36 hz. port isn't braced, i never did on my old box, but that was also vertical not horizantal like the new box
  11. hahah yes yes, its all where the old settings were, just turned subsonic up a bit and lpf since box is tuned higher. and its just an l port
  12. I just put my new box in today 16" ft3 port @ 36hz.. it all hit real hard n sounded great way better than my old box, but now when i turn the volume up to bout 20 / 45 theirs like apopping type of noise itl b doing , kind of like if ur sub trys and play under tuning or reaaall bad clipping, my port is along the bottom of the box....could this noise be coming from port hitting the trunk? i meen the box sits 2" away from the end of the trunk . Any help would be great
  13. we did, my buddy works at an autobody shop so we scuffed everything and used painters plastic and taped everything of with this good tape he gets from work so everything is clean. We spent along time preping each thing.
  14. I wouldn't know an ice cream paint job if I saw one. But now I know it's not this Haha ik it was a joke. But hey haha this took along time to do !
  15. go to photocuket and click the direct link button and it will copy the url and just paste it... on my computer its only showing two pictures right now for some reason..if their is only two pictures showing someone tell me so i can correct it thanks!
  16. Well.. I decide to give myself a paintjob haha. This was done by me and my friend to cure boredom, and yeah..it is spray paint, 2 coats of flat black for primer than 2 coats of high enamel gloss black, and 2 coats of clear gloss on everything. On the rockers it's actually whino liner. Waiting to get my Digital Designs banner for front windshield and DD emblem for rear window. I guess it's not too bad for spray paint, everything is straight and clean. Tooke us about two days of three in the afternoon till about eleven at night. Just thought I'd share this
  17. alright cool. oh would 2 XS D3400 be able to support it? n big 3
  18. Im currently running a DD 9515 with an AQ 2200, but I can see the DD is laughing at the power, I had an idea the other day about trading my AQ 2200 and some cash for an AQ 3500. The DD should be able to handle that constant 4k of power shouldn't it? I meen i know you can run alot of power to any sub if it is set up correctly and yes this would be scoped out and no clipping.
  19. very impressive! never realized how beast skar is
  20. yeah..your ohm load will stay the same according to how you wired it and box rise and all that.... you meen voltage drop?
  21. Yes, leaving your speakers for only mids/highs ok thanks. And are their certain or specific crossovers needed? or are do expensive ones make a difference, such as focal, beyma etc.? There is no difference in the materials the crossovers are made from, e.g. you could make your own with resistors etc But I'd suggest getting a small amp for your mids/highs. You'd get some potential out of them, have filters already on amp, and have an amp already there if you upgraded the speakers sometime in the future. yeah im thinking about 4 beyma AST-09 tweeters and focal mids/highs haha
