Shouldn't be any regrets on it.... Rounded areas like that have less resistance to air movement, so that means less port noise/turbulence

My ear-o-meter says I'm pushing 200+ DB's though lol I did notice a difference though switching from number 2 to number 1. I think it might have just been the fact that I took my time with it and I had minimal imp. rise. Wired down to .5 ohm, clamped at just under 1 ohm with rise. My first box was a rush job and I was around 1.75 ohm with rise.

Numero one isn't that complicated either. Just gotta make sure that the port width is cut in half along the back area. Everything else is easy cheesy. And it looks symmetrical

Not really much else you can do to it..... Just make sure all your cuts are straight and everything lines up....... 45's in the corners, which you already got. Only thing for you to decide on is using birch or MDF. Either one is fine really. I'm using MDF with no problems.

Are you using 10's or 12's? Mine hit with all types of music and it sounds good as hell too.

I've done both of those designs with the exact same subs. But I would recommend the first one, it sounded a shit ton better for me. Both were built to the same specs you have too lol. Fucking crazy. Edit: I'm running the 10's BTW

Lol it's all good. Second skin has been thoroughly tested and I don't think I've ever heard one negative complaint about them. It makes a world of difference on your ride too! Check out their section on the forums and read through all the reviews.

Do you have a voltage indicator? Or were you checking voltage with a DMM on the battery? My guess is that it's dropping below 12v at full tilt, and throwing itself into protect.

Use the biggest gauge wire that will fit in the sub terminals. But yea, I'm with everyone else, wires were too small, and the current going through them heated it up.

Gotta price shop and find the lowest price for the fiberglass thing. It's not my forte, but there are plenty of guys on here that can lead you in that direction. But do just what 412 CVX said, it's pretty much the easiest route. It's entirely up to you if you want to mold the sides with fiberglass though. LOL@ Mario
