  1. Wow that's really creative. I thought i seen it all lol I was going to say that would be a really light weight box until I seen 5 kg of filler
  2. You have plenty of room, Sub up port back usually works good in hatches. with the port back you get a longer bass wave.
  3. If you are going to get Hifonics, look at the Brutus series. Most do rated power and are solid for the price.
  4. Damn, thats alot of extra weight on that roof with all those layers. What were they thinking. Maybe the roof looked too low and they wanted to make it look more even lol
  5. I don't normally use any of them. They are all at 0. I just remember someone saying that the sub level should be all the way up when using DD-1, I'll get the exact model tomorrow morning. I was working on the system all day, only had it running for 5 mins then it was too dark.
  6. I got a newer kenwood excelon single din HU. forget the model... I am curious about which level settings I should use, if any. It has "bass boost", "Sub level" and "bass level" all range from +1dB to +15dB... I'm not sure which ones I should not use. I don't want clipping. Is there one I should have up when using DD-1? Thanks Theres also some other settings i'm not sure of like bass ext or something like that. I lost the box and manual so I'm having a hard time with these
  7. I either use a dremel with a sanding bit or a wire wheel.
  8. I have an XS power intellicharger 100E5 (brand new first time ever used) It's in the other room charging 2 xp3000's and a D2700 in paralell. It has been charging now for about 2 hours and it just made a really loud whistling sound that faded away and the house lights dimmed for a second. Is this normal? I've never used these chargers before, It caught me off gaurd and scared the shit out of me lol. It's set at 25 amps, XS agm mode 12 volt. I wa stold to leave it all night but I'm kind of keeping an eye on it before I go to sleep.
  9. Yeah, Im by no means an expert but it could possibly work. I think It would be tricky because usually you use aeros instead of a slot port not IN a slot port so the tuning would be off from what you think it would be. You still have to take the original ports legnth and tuning into the equasion.
  10. But wouldn't the aeros be technically still inside of the origanal port therefore the tuning of the aero would not be accurate? I'm tying to picture what your saying.
  11. Is it normal for bondo to be really thick in the can? seemed thicker than what I saw on youtube. On there It looked like toothpaste but mine was like putty, you could almost lift the can with the wooden stick in it.
  12. I ended up using bondo. it was only 10 dollars for a can so yeah. I did it this afternoon. It didnt turn out 100% perfect but hey, It was my first time using it so I didn't expect it to. Also that shit was DAMN hard to get off my hands lol had to use some gas.
  13. Yeah I might just get some sort of hollow square plastic tube and cut it so I can screw the bottom to the wood and thread a bolt on the top for the bar.. had a bran flash this morinng lol
  14. I am re-painting my box today and I want to fill in all of the screw holes so it looks a bit cleaner. Can I just use regular wood filler? Thanks For the size of the holes I would rather not use bondo.
  15. Yeah, for sure, but The screw will still be into the wood touching the bar. ugg i knew i'd run into this problem lol
  16. You know your high when the clouds are below you.
  17. So I got my battery "rack" done, I plan on screwing my aluminum buss bar on some 2x4's. is it ok to have it directly on them? I heard some people say thats its fine and wood is an isolator and others said sometimes wood can conduct electricity. So whats the verdict? Thanks
  18. Most likely. if there was enough water It could have shorted everything out inside because it was on. If you can't get it to work with any at home methods then its probaly dead Not worth the money to look at repairs. Do you have a contract woth the phone? If so, I know people who have taken their phone back in and sometimes they would replace it if its under warranty. make up a stupid story.
  19. Yeah, I ended up doing 2 runs of 1/0 from the trunk batt(s) to the alt bracket for grounds. That should help. Also, Your Cobalt is hella' clean. it's what inspired me to do a large system in my pusuit (same car). I heard you are maybe doing a rebuild? I'll be tuned in. yes sir i am, new subs should be here this week but its gonna be a minute till the new wall is built. all im gonna say is that its going to be a below 20hz monster. Good shit. Hope everything works out for ya. ill be browsing your YT channel in the near future. I only got 2 btl 15's walled @33hz right now but I plan on running 4 for a next build hopefully. Space is always the tricky part with these cars.
