TINSEL not tensel and 10g is PLENTY trying to shove and solder wire bigger than whats needed is silly 4g wont fit in the amp.. and really my psi platform 2 15 has 10g direct leads and im running about 2k rms and wire NEVER gets warm bigger wire wont help anything unless the leads under the dustcap are 4g

ever think about coil overs.. just bc they dont have any for your specific car.. there are others that are practically the same and you can modify them to work if you do bags.. where you going to put the compressor n lines?

them boss subs are just right for that amp too 4000w max amp fused for mid 100amp range wont see over 1500w in prime conditions amp is 1 ohm stable so id wire to 1ohm if you got 2 dual 4s if not then 2ohm

simply put your trying to pull more amperage than that 1 single run of 0g can provide..simple as that

same amount of inputs your amp has needs to be the same amount of power runs ( to be safe) i know idiots out there running 2 amps that have dual 0g pwr n grnd andn only using 1 0g run..and his wire gets REAL hot i have 2 0gauge runs in my car just to be safe with whatever i decide to run

you have a 500w max amp 90% of the subs you listed are at least 500w rms each get a better sub amp do the BIG 3 upgrade..then get better subs... simply put your not going to be "bangin" with 500w max

i know how to handle customers ive worked in a few shops and always dealt with customers.. and i try the same in what i do on the side also.. hell i even went thru the trouble of explaining port area bandwidth and other things too wether or not birch is worth the $$ or not etc etc etc.. dude had a full hr of talking to decide if he wanted me to do his box or not.. what other box builder does that?? im sure a few do but not many and hell i even gave him a solid 20min demo of my chevy.. and showed him EXACTLY how i do my installs and teamht... that looks like a nice ass truck (for a b/w pic..) shame it went to impound yard.. because when my car got impunded they took my wheels off

i believe in cutting deals for certain people.. bc i have seen what other people want to build a box..and its just insane.. generally i make 80 to 100bux profit.. im cool with basically breaking even ( for my time n shit) if the people treat me good and spread the word ya know.. this will be the last time iever make a box for 40 bux profit lolol (again he seemed like a cool guy and knew his stuff so i gave a break)

ive got a 2 car (still a small space) and everytime i turn around that box is in my way.. space is valueable in my area i just put it outside in a junk car ive had sitting for a couple yrs.. put a tarp over the busted windows and left it be.. maybe itll become a nice mouse home right?????

thats for your personal use etc.. i got a few sheets of wood sitting also but it for my own use.. i got to literally move the box out of my way to access my closet then move it back..and try to make sure it stays clean (bc sawdust sticks to velvet like glue). just a total hassle for 8 days now lol anyways i got enough opinions n such THANKS to the people who actually had good advice and actually understand the situation

never a solid excuse just says stuff came up blah blah blah.. i tried calling him 10mins ago and he sends me right to voicemail.. the way i see it ive been professional as i can be.. ive been waiting for almost 9 days now.. even called off work and missed out on 10hrs of pay.. then he continues to ignore me Hmmm, do you make $5.00 an hour? i mean 10 hours of pay just to get $50 profit on a box.. sounds fishy. no i make 12bux a hour..my boss is super cool and generally lets me call off if i got a decent excuse (been friends for 20yrs now) and like i said earlier i cut him A ONE TIME DEAL.. in hopes of maybe getting more work in etc..and ontop of that i DID NOT call off to make the box..it was done on a saturday and i called off work a few days after the box was done and sitting..i called off bc he said he WAS going to pick it up Maybe at this point you are in deep enough you just need to deliver and cut your loss. That or resell and give him a refund minus a small /wink storage fee. good luck man. i would deliver it if i knew where the fool lived.. hell ive even tried to do research on him to find out where he stays..no luck lol (or i suck at being a investigater)

ive done a few boxes for blazers and it seems that subs up port back works the best (its hell on that back glass tho) ive also seen a few super loud subs and port up boxes.. go sub up port back and see how ya like it

You have your money, if he doesn't want the box, take an axe to it and leave the pieces on his doorstep. If it's bothering you that much, scrap the wood and only charge him the price of the wood. But when you ask us for advice, and turn around and start with an attitude like that, you can take that box, take a shit in it, and shove it up your ass. Talent is only a small portion of success. Being an ass is a complete fail. Oh, and if you want to be a prick, I'll be one too. This is in the wrong f*cking section. This doesn't have to do with general audio, it has to do with enclosures. did you miss the part where he expected a fast turnaround so i busted my ass all day.. that was 8 days ago almost 9 days now.. also i forgot 2 mention 2 days ago..he said "ill be there at 3" so i cleared my entire schedule..and waited for him.. and he stood me up ( i actually called off work to do so also) no i did not miss that but some guys are just @ holes so i hope you charged more for the fast turn around and if you did not its a learning experience for the next time and remember you have the box paid so if the buyer is smart you can get extra money for your trouble . really you are asking peoples opinion but at the end its your call . just remeber you are the seller/builder and he is the buyer/customer so even tho he is an @ss you still have to do things in a bussiness aspect . i agree with you the buyer is a d-bag but part of anay business is that some times you got to bite the bullet i didnt make a whole lot off this box.. i made exactly 42bux after material cost n such.. i cut him a 1 time deal ONLY.. and he does this usually i make at least 80 to 100 profit
