  1. My girl says I should walk around with a headset and a microphone ... And just walk to people and say.... " You know we can't do this all day " ... and then just walk off, and say " stay with me camera guy "
  2. that old hag Paula Deen is building a new house on wilmington Island, right outside of savannah... some guys I work with told me the "second house" is actaully a car garage, because her husband supposedly collects cars. We all tend to think it is designed to hide the camera and film crew trucks so that she can start filming more of her shows at her actual home instead of her stage home. The place is bulit way off the road to keep the tourists from hanging around all day, but I told you can see it very well from the road. Either way, as much as I hate the bitch, doing a garage that looks like a house is pretty damn cool.
  3. That thing insanely over the top, The center back window is ridiculous.... I would drive that shit till the damn wheels fell off of it though. Impressive work.
  4. I got to go get some carpet from the stereo shop one day this week. I painted the ports and my girl saw it and asked why it wasnt in the car, and I said something to the effect of it needing carpet, and I got a response along the lines of " so it wont work without carpet" .... so it got installed sans carpet . for now...
  5. I have no idea. the "port" is really a horn. I forget exactly what Pete called it, but it starts out really narrow and gets larger thru the turns and opens up to the size you see in the pics. I can tell you this much, Everybody that has sen it questioned it until they heard it, and I know guys at almost every local audio shop in savannah. His box designs really do speak for themselves.
  6. Wha... When are ya leaving... I am not gonna let your truck slim from my getting to see it. I will head down real soon, if need be....
  7. painted the ports and some spots on the back for the terminals, since I dont want carpet up under the terminal bolts... the little under floor storage area...
  8. I cleaned up the inside and sanded down any glue lumps , it is all nice and smooth, I just forgot to get a photo... got the holes cut... sanded and ready for paint and carpet Just to compare it with my enclosure that has two 12s
  9. I built this enclosure for my girlfriend. As stated in the title, she has a Rogue ( really cool car BTW ) basically fully loaded, including the Bose factory system. While the bose is nice for a factory setup, it lacks decent bass. She had a sealed prefab that we had in her versa , and just moved the subs and amp into her new vehicle. She didn't want any sort of a SPL setup, just really clean bass. She liked the way mine sounded, but she didnt like the oddly muddy sound of the comp 10s in a sealed box. So , this is where PWK steps in to help out. I will have to wait for some daylight to shoot a quick little video, but she and I both agree that this is a BIG improvement, all things considered with the gear she has. ( stock Bose, Kicker ZX300.1 , and two Kicker comp 10" subs). I wanted to leave her a little room in the back for carrying her stuff for school as well as access the little under the floor storage area, as well as fitting under the cargo cover. All of this was accomplished, and it looks good. I still have to run out and get some box carpet for it, which I will get too some time this week or next weekend. the old... the plan... getting started... I had a bit of a problem with the middle wall, but since there are 45s in the corners, It worked out. ( the table saw failed to cooperate, and the fence moved... ) more to come...
  10. I dont understand the thread title. This vehicle came out in the late 70s or early 80s. And this vehicle is not what made lamborghini famous. the rivalry with ferrarri in the formula 1 , and european road racing circuits are what made lamborghini and ferrarri the companies the are today. Even most lambo collectors and aficionados will tell you this vehicle is a black sheep of lamborghini's historu.
  11. Can't say enough good things about this website. They are truly a great company, and Phil, the owner, generally answers the phone when you call, so the customer service is always top notch. Hey steve, when you guys go to paint the hoopty, are going to take all the door panels back off to cut in the jambs and door frames? Is this the main reason for the quick disconnect plugs you put all that effort into? I was just thinking about that after watching the video this morning and got to wondering, cause Damn the interior is just knocking this thing out the park. The upholsterer did a amazing job on the seats and you are not too bad in the upholstery department yourself. As always, Great Job Man.
  12. I am using the nighttime.... It is nice to not have the super bright white background on this 20 inch Mac screen. Sometimes, especially when the room is dark, it damn near hurts my eyes when I wake the thing up from sleep mode shock of bright light in your face.... so the blue is nice, and it is easy to read everything. I hope you keep this , cause I am gonna use it as long as it is available. so... Thanks.
  13. I can tell you the Railroad I work for uses blazers and jimmys as "carryall" vehicles in most of the railroad yards ( they are upgrading to suburbans here lately ) and they run those things 24 hours a day, 363 days a year, most hardly ever shut down for more than 10-15 minutes, and they get driven hard over very rough terrain, and all stop and go driving.... we have some that have over 300,000 miles and they still run like new... the interiors are falling apart, but then again, luggage is tossed in and out over and over, big metal train parts, bags of ice, and of course railroad workers... and those damn thing s seem like they not only take the abuse, but they seem like they dont seem to mind it. as long as you are getting the 4.3. litre V6, I say go for the blazer.
  14. I don't think you have any thing to turn up at the moment do you? N-E-Wayz.... I will never understand why people think sound deadener is unnecessary... I will never understand how one prefers to hear the rattle over the bass.... I will never be alone on the interstate in my ride with the stereo at any thing less than full volume , Where I can enjoy it , and not have to advertise it.
  15. Some of what festool makes is probably worth the money, but some of it is just proving you got money to burn, here in the U.S. anyway.... I understand festool is the main and respected brand of tools over in europe, and I imagine it is no where near as expensive there as it is here.... And really, you dont want the sanp on guy stopping by your house once a week, you will go broke, the inside if that truck will literally make you drool...
  16. I got the new wood craft catalog the other day and festool now has a router out that is 800 bucks....WTF ?
  17. youa re making this so much harder than it really is. Get a relay, and some prewired with resistor led lights ( they sell them with a resistor already soldered in place ) run wires and drill holes , insert light holders and be done with it. The link I posted will show you how to wire anything they sell on their site...
  18. the oznium website used to have a forum and a tutorial section on there.... When I had my scion, I think I had about 30 or so wired in series off of one switch. they draw so little current that it it wont hurt them .... go here: oznium tutorial
  19. well hell I am in Jacksonville at least every other day or so...
  20. they are going to look unfinished without the center caps. Maybe find a way to smooth over the center caps or have the hummer logo machined off.....since you are going through all this trouble to get them to fit
