I love these,"can I over power my subs" threads. Why do you find it necessary to drive double the RMS power to a sub. You gain NOTHING. It is not going to do anything magical when you throw double the RMS to them. What it has a GOOD likelihood of doing is sending a lot of extra heat. Granted that they are well built and can take tons of power, but why are so people so interested in this? It's it just so you can brag and say,"yeah I am running 1200 watts to each of my SA12's and they're taking it like champs"? Also, youre but very likely with efficiency and impedance rise to see the full 2400 watts anyway. Do you really want to be that customer that has the story,"I was told I could run 1200 watts to a sub rated for 600 watts and it blew, I have no idea why"? Please keep it simple and buy an amp that does 1200-1500 and call it a day.

You can set your gains all peachy, but if your box has an error in design, you're screwed. what are the dimensions of your box OP? I'm not saying.for sure, as there are many unknowns here. Im just curious how your setup is to pinpoint what happened.

Coils don't burn for no reason. Heat and clipping burns coils. You did something wrong I think. some songs clip even though your settings are good.

For someone that loves their amps and subs so much, you're not having much confidence in this new venture of theirs. I'm sure they will do well and will be VERY competitive in the wire market. I am diggin the wire and am diggin the price per foot, that's for sure. Others will love this product as well without a doubt.

Because you failed to read that you're getting a 100 ft roll vs. a 50 ft roll. If you aren't interested in the product, don't post here.

Just how big ISSSSS the school bus you plan on deadening? 320 square feet is a metric shit ton of that deadener, especially since 100% coverage is not needed.

It's better in my opinion with the lower number you've just gotten. What does airspace look like since you made the modification? It didn't throw it too far out of whack did it?

That sub is a beast so it's going to sound badass in the right enclosure.

I think the design looks really good. The only part I would tweek is the port area per foot. Tuned as low as 31Hz I don't know that the sub you're using really needs 16 square inches per foot. 14ish might be a little better. So a 3 inch port maybe instead of 3.5, or maybe even 3.25?

I would probably double baffle a box on a sub like that. I also think that's a lot of port area per foot for as low as its tuned. If you're gonna give it 1000W over RMS, that needs to be considered with box design. Airspace might need to be shrunk if you're considering hammering it with 3500W.
