  1. I don't think dewalt makes an orbital. I thought they only made rotary.
  2. Yeah I wouldn't say its impossible, but I install speakers daily and I always try to talk down peoples expectations of adding much bass, even with 6x9s, when installing just speakers. Mid bass are an option, but need to be properly crossed over. You can cross over at a certain point at the amp, then run parallel on the same side after the mid bass for a tweeter crossover or useI separate channels foron tweeter.
  3. In regards to optima batteries, maybe I've been lucky but I've never had one fail. Even many blems.
  4. The crescendo does have a good low end response. Honestly the difference in quality at least for what you'll hear may not warrant an extra cost that high. That said, I have heard the hertz speakers, and they do sound great. Not a ton of bass, and I even heard them in a sealed box. But I have not heard the crescendo
  5. Just don't expect too much low end out of coaxial or component speakers. They are designed in almost all applications as a mid bass solution. Deadening, and providing an enclosure for the speakers can help
  6. its a toss up. just adding cone area properly can gain output, assuming its in a way to avoid cancellation. adding a second 12 is more cone than a single 15, but efficiency and box design can also greatly increase output, even if you went to a single 15, especially if you move to a sub with more motor strength. there are instances that even without a change in power, simply more motor force can help spl potential. not always, but i have seen it. my personal opinion, i like more cone area. id go with 2 12s, maybe even 2 other ones that can efficiently make use of the 2200 watts you have. 2200 watts can produce some respectable spl in the right design.
  7. thats a good answer with a lot of possibilities above. ive pinched the tiniest of wires in a car before, only to find that it required about six hours to trace it down, and it literally controlled way more than i thought possible. new cars can be kinda strange.
  8. omega offers their version--carlink. its cool, and cheaper. it can be used on any current models that end in the letter B, such as the 330 EDBP, which can be installed for much less than some viper alarms too. they offer a 1830EDBP combo unit, but uses a lot of remote batteries. 2020EDPB 2 way alarm combo which has rechargeable usb remote. its a great unit, 1 mile range, car link compatible. product and install with car link will likely be close to $600-$700 though on that unit.
  9. Some of the best subs out there in their price range. Can take much more power than rated.
  10. lol. i figured it wouldnt allow me if i didnt have enough posts. oh well, if it must be deleted, it must. in the meantime, check it out.
  11. Because japan and all their raw materials near the coast went under water..where many motors, lasers, cones, baskets and much more car audio related products are built.
  12. how does the speaker wire not twist up and break? some secondary motor at the sides rotating? i always wondered this.
  13. the infinity reference 4x6 plate speakers sound pretty good for their price.
  14. Holy crap. Just realized you're running that at. 33 daily! Sounds like a beast amp.
  15. i actually laughed out loud (audibly) when i read that person's crazy ass comment. black market food theft? lol!
  16. They were great subs but something to worry about now on those is spider sag.
  17. Its a very old solo basic. Years before solo x and way less power handling. May even be a sealed only version. Prob worth $80
  18. It may be a good thing for the company. If anyone remembers a few years back they actually hurt their reputation on ca and termpro...not by advertising, but by not responding well and getting offended by opinions. Its only bad for business if you don't know how to deal with the public--which is about 90% of this business. Anyone can advertise, but then you have to bite your tongue and respond with a smile on your face, even when you don't like it. Sundown and electrodynamic have done a great job at that task in the past couple years. They respond when needed, and get out of their companies are dissed, except if proving a valid point. Some people have no clue how yo maintain in the public eye, such as some in the company mentioned .
  19. Very good looking. I bet those hccas pound off that hatch now!
  20. Autotek is not at all a crap brand. They make some low level stuff but also some quality stuff. If you want specs go to manufacturing websites.
