are the subs gonna be sitting on the top or on a side? If on top i would go with some 2by 4s because those subs are heavy! But if the are gonna be on the side i would just do the dowels. The bracing is so that the box doesnt flex or, in the case of the subs on the top, bend under the weight of the subs. the more ridged the box is the better it will resonate the sound. Im not aware of any rule on where the bracing is to be placed. i would just do where you thing its needed. i would use AT LEAST 3, 1side to side, 1top to bottom, and 1 front to back.

It sounds like you dont know enough about 4th orders to pull off a walled 4th order... if your gonna do it i would get RAM to design a box for what ever you want.

is that 3 cubic feet before or after displacement? if its after then that will work. and i think the port is tuned wrong. i just tuned a box that is the same layout as the one u did to the same frequency 32hz. and my port is 3 x 15 x 34. also for the amp... what type of hifonics is it? some do rated and some dont. all of yall are ninjas. haha. I would do the DC 2K... but thats just me... i like my equipment to match. ha

all amps are different and the settings will be different for every set up. its nearly impossible to tell someone where to set their gains. You need to get it set with a DD-1 or an Oscope.

i would leave it for like 20-30 minutes. i have never had to do it but i know thats what ur suppose to do.

it sounds like your batt was bad... or when you left ur lights on and killed ur batt, u didnt give it enough time to re-charge. Let ur car run for a while and let it re-charge and you might be good for now. Do it before you buy another batt. it might work for ya until you can get the money for another batt.

I think its better just to find someone who has one and will do it for free. Or go to a shop and get it done with an Oscope. The shop near my house has a DD-1 and will tune anything for me for free. then its less than 25 bucks...

thanks frozn, i thought thats what it does but i also thought it made a sub look prettier. so there is no downside to removing the trim? Im like 99% sure there really isnt anything wrong with it. I almost had to do it with my lvl 4 15" because I thought it wouldnt fit in the box with the gasket on. but it did. As long as its tight its good.

it just helps to seal it. thats all. Not gonna affect anything as far as i know.
