SOLD- RF-BLD-MODS: you can locker up..
Kyblack76 replied to Kyblack76's topic in For Sale: Car audio related equipment only
Yep, its basically a high ZOOT loc. It does bump the voltage in the upper double digits.....helps you run your amp gains insanly low..... The RF-BLD is a 2-channel line driver that boosts low source unit signals or drives amplifiers located a long distance to the back of a vehicle. The BLD features Single Ended or Balanced Differential mode to eliminate noise. 2 channel inputs/outputs Low output impedance Selectable 'Balanced Differential' or 'Single Ended' inputs and outputs High voltage line driver Output level indicators Speaker level to RCA line level converter Low distortion, low noise operation 1 Year Standard Warranty The best thing this does, is eliminate any noise.... it is a wonder....like i mentioned before, i kept it, after my DSP install, in any case there was noise present.... i got lucky.... If your source unit has low output voltage or your amplifiers are located far back in a Van or SUV, the BLD is a perfect for your system. Featuring 'Balanced Differential' or 'Single Ended' mode, its high voltage output combined with a low output impedance will drive large arrays of amplifiers without breaking a sweat. In 'Balanced Differential' mode, it's twisted pair design also helps eliminate radiated noise through electrical cancellation. PM me if interested... Kyle adding... EDIT - There seems to be some confusion from some member reguarding this unit. THIS IS NOT A 3SIXTY.1 or.2 PROCESSOR. This is Fosgates top of the line LOC. I just want to be clear, and want everyone to know what they are looking at, or getting. Thanks all. -

Maybe Kranny and i are on the same page, again. Maybe he is saying something else, and Im no enclosure wiz, but, that tuning seems high, as well as the volume at 5cf per woof. But, what do i know. Correct and school me... id love to know the reasoning behind it... Is this a spl number grabber? Does your vehicle reflect that choice? You have a specific goal? For daily, and just wanging, just seems high (im talking the tuning) to me....... but again, what do i know..???? Edit - and im not familure at all with Memphis MoJo's.... so, again, maybe im high....errr, to high...

"the dd-1 wont do everything, you still need to have a clue on what you are doing. You can still f**k your system up" ". It all comes back to knowing your equipment and its limits." This was all i was trying to get at.... You can have a product or tool, do exactly what it claims. But, in the wrong hands, success can be very difficult. Comes down to the person(s) using it........ -

0 or 4 Gauge And big 3 worth it?
Kyblack76 replied to ROLEXrifleman's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
i cant tell you on you ride, and with your gear. My gain was there, but, from what i saw,it was more having to do with the loss, that made me smile......errrrrr, it stayed more consistant. I did have a stock DENSO unit. So, that was cool, but, when i chose to "upgrade" the leads/grounds, i saw more of a consistant, steady, voltage. Know what i mean? my voltage didnt totaly "increase" much per say. I just held tighter, and alot longer. Maybe im high, but, thats what i saw, and recorded. Ive already done my wife titan, and she runs stock audio. With that, and our last disscusion, lol , i swapped in a SINGER, and added a D3100. And my lil system is a joke compaired to these nut jobs... -

Kyblack76 replied to ROLEXrifleman's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
up to you man, but, ive ran 3 sets of main, cuz i didnt plan ahead, or except the system at the time, and kept getting bigger, and wanting more...runing wire clean is a mother, and why do it twice, or in my case, 3 times........also, the 1/0 wire i used was suprising flexable... and i got it "through" ok.... and, with the upgrade 3, i would do that if i had a system or not now.....but, its your ride, your bag...... You might be the dude that sits content with what ya got, or the dude asking where to buy, and how to run your 1/0 in 3 months....lol.. i dunno..but im sick of doing things more than once.... cheers man.... edit - from one oldish timer to another... -
Tips needed for polishing bus bars...
Kyblack76 replied to Purplehaze's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Hell yeah bigsix, you must know what I'm talking about on the polishing "wheels", ... There isn't anything "wrong" with elbow grease, but, I'm also a big believer in "work smart,.. Not hard". Op, follow the above suggestion, and you'll see your mug in the mirror reflection... -

hmmm... is this going no where? except circles? ... lock/delete this eh? -
For sale is a RF Balanced Line Driver. Perfect for adding a aftermarket amp to OEM HU's. This isnt your normal 15$ LOC. Pumps the line voltage up, has clip indicator, and can run balanced or un-balanced. Cleans up noisy/dirty signals like a champ. I'll toss in the 2ft kicker cables. I just installed a DSP, so this has no more use, however, i did keep after the DSP install, to see if i had any noise this could clean up, but i was one of the lucky ones. so its gotta go. I do know that Meade has a review of this very product, being used to clean up some noise in one of his installs on the site somewhere. looking for 45 bones and ill takecare of the shipping (in the 48), reference avalible. thanks for looking.. EDIT - There seems to be some confusion from some member reguarding this unit. THIS IS NOT A 3SIXTY.1 or.2 PROCESSOR. This is Fosgates top of the line LOC. I just want to be clear, and want everyone to know what they are looking at, or getting. Thanks all. Kyle

Right, well, I hear ya, I'd undo em all, if it's cool, start tossing em on, but I hear ya.. Give it hell ROOT !!.. Let us know buddy
-
kranny Thats is what im thinking, I guess you could try and remove all speaker outputs, and see if it protects/thermals, and then break out the meter. And again, where im from, thermal and protect can be different. Different "alarms" and different issues.....
-
damn buddy, your hitting wall after wall..... try not to get to down, or frustrated, but i know how it can be man...... did you just recieve this amp? or have you been running it for a while? if you've been running it, what changed? if anything.... and wait, is it THERMAL? or PROTECT? .... In my world, those are different... and could be different issues.... know what im sayin? edit - also, i remember you posting a thread on the JBL's, is this the subs we are talking about? i thought you bought D2ohm subs?????? or are we now on something different?
