ha the orion works flawlessly...... only tested it on headunit power but it makes sound and has some excursion..... sounded like shit (cuz it was seeing highs and lows) but damn was i surprised to see it move. this goes on the shelf. unless someone wants to buy it from me for something fun.......not to wallsocket it though. i found it in the back of an abandoned early 90's accord that was all riced out..... no amp or h/u just this box in back. came into the yard yesterday and i spotted it not 5 minutes after it being here lmao sometimes i love working at a junkyard -jarrid

so i took the other one out of the box and found out it isnt an orion..... but its a fender "special design speaker" 2" voice coil lol i can post pics of the basket n motor if yall wanna see haha

yessir.... i myself own a power acoustik mofo 122x and shit takes a beating .... it sounds alright. would i buy it again? prolly not but it was a noob thing and ive had it for like 6 months now lol just beating the snot out of it..... shit i turned the gains all the way up to send a majorly clipped signal to it and it never got warm or got stinky on me....... now they are turned back down but its still goin strong lol lanzar i would never buy....ever.

did they sound alright? they were in a sealed box.... bought it cuz it was old and im gunna use the box for maybe some midrange woofers if i can find some for cheap.... damn 94? this thing is old.

ok so i got this sub today in a box.... for 5 dollars from my junkyard...... there WAS 2..... the second one didnt have a cone..... just a vc and basket/motor. so what i want to know is how old is this and what can i do with it....... this one doesnt seem blown but havnt tested it yet. so recone for 2nd one? can i even get a recone for it? or just keep it for just how old it is? so any info is good to know...... i mainly wanna know how old this is and if its considered "vintage" thanks guys! -jarrid

agree'd! i was looking at a high impact/high vibration resistant wood bonder.... but that shit is soooooo expensive.... $800 for 5 gallons i can imagine the price for the amount i would need......prolly like $100.....ouch! but yeah it would be awesome! you should make one too! stain it so it looks nice too! lol this is gunna be fun!

i think if someone designed a box made completely out of 2x4s it would look sick. like 2x4 make up all sides and port (if your using slot port) 2x4s glued together and held together by threaded pipe. would def. be thick enough...... any thoughts? i just thought of that this a.m. while smoking my "wake up" bogie. thinkn bout doin this just for fun....talk about unique though. maybe ill sketch something on paint to give a general idea..... nothing fancy just a scribble or two pros? cons? IN blue says: threaded pipe in red says: glued joints also would require more 2x4s just didnt feel like being all technical lol

clean both terminals also with a terminal brush. sounds like a bad connection if your sittin @ 12.5v ...... my car starts sittin @ 11.2v and i would take a look at where the wire connects to the terminals too..... corrosion would do it. just had a car come in at work (88 mercury marquis) was sold to us CHEAP "not running" i messed with it and found out the wire from the pos. terminal to the starter solenoid was shot ( 1 ft wire) so i jumped it from the solenoid and it started right up. work FTW. not trying to thread jack lol just showing how something so stupid can cause this. good luck
