  1. You start with research. You have a lot of time. You have to read reviews, listen to stuff in person, find what you like, then keep that in mind and get the stuff when you find the opportunity for a deal you can't pass up. If you are limited with speakers, running active will allow you to select a wider range of speakers that have the potential to sound great. WWW.BCAE1.COM is a site with just pure information.
  2. Damn... Took it like a fuckin champ. Who does that?
  3. You fail. Post 31 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...vette&st=20
  4. Your videos get so much attention that they take 30 minutes + for me to load..... Like your air suspension video 3.... Granted the dorm room internet sucks, but your videos have to be the slowest on youtube for me.... And I still watch em' hahaha On a side note, congrats.... Make that money!
  5. Damn man....... I am the only one that ever holds my beer at parties. I don't let anyone else serve it, or get it for me. Glad I do it now... Some people are crazy. Why did you drive?
  6. They will not be plug and play, if there is even a bulb made to fit them. If you can find a bulb to work, it wouldn't be hard to modify... You'll need a relay kit.
  7. Get some flux and nice 60/40 rosin core from a place like radioshack or frys.
  8. I'd recommend getting a different deck.... But you can look into a LOC (Line output converter) just to make your deck work for you.
  9. Happy Birthday Mel and Exo! Hope you guys had a great day!
  10. I'm not familiar with the fuse ratings on the Brutus... But the (Maxsonics) Hifonics amps don't do what they claim. Realistically, you'd be getting closer to 900, if you are lucky at 1 ohm.... But you're not getting 1200 watts out of that amp at 14 volts. It's not that hifonics/ maxsonics products aren't good, they are just over rated 20-30% A bunch of people run Hifonics amps and love them. Granted this isn't your amp, but it's just for an example. http://audioforum.termpro.com/cgi-bin/ubb/...20;t=011743;p=0 You could put 500-600 Unclipped RMS per CVR in a sealed box and they will take it. Wouldn't recommend sending them that much in a ported box, at least for the average person.
  11. Definitely do the big 3 .... Your car really shouldn't dim off the power you're giving it... If it still does after the Big 3, make sure the grounds at the rear are nice grounds, on bare metal. Hifonics 1200 at 2 ohms is only 500 watts. On the bright side though the amp will like running 2 ohms. Way to get everything Ironed out! Audio is great if you have more interest in it than just having some 'beat'..... Good luck man... Make a ported box.
  12. If you got a local audio shop, look at their contracts.... Possibly along the same lines as that.
  13. There's a huge liability installing audio. You need to have him sign a contract that states that you're not liable for any property or equipment damages. You should also take pictures and document what you do, so if somebody does try to say that you messed up their equipment, you have proof that the install was legitimate.
  14. I'm a fan of soldering, but if you want a connector... Solder a 3'' lead on the speaker, and connect it to a deans plug. Deans plugs are really high quality. http://www.hobby-lobby.com/deans_ultra_plu...ir_222_prd1.htm
  15. You can probably get 300-400 for the amp, so the C&Ds, value wise are worth about that.... If you need batteries, probably wouldn't be a bad idea.
  16. LOL... I say sound deadener and people ask me whats that.. Dynamat "Ohh" Haha... Dynamat has definitely put a name out.

  18. With as little cone area as he has and as little space he has to work in, it would be a challenge to make a bandpass box, and even then a ported box would be louder. 3 8's.... I'm gonna say that 2 10s is something everyone does in a regular cab truck. 3 8's is less common, and the depth of the box won't have to be 9'' wide with an 8'' sub. 3 8s in a ported box tuned @33 will get lower than 10s or 12s in a sealed box. Even one nice 10'' sub in a ported box off 750 RMS will get down in a standard cab truck, and not take up too much space.
