What should I add to my front stage to make my car louder?
CJSmith replied to BEEMDUB's topic in Mid's and highs
Try component sets and x-overs to run them. -
Kicker = FAIL!!!! Lol
-
Just try a single din that plays dvd's and get sun visor monitors.

so with that being said he has the ability to transfer manufactors warranty/ prolly not so the warranty is invalid.. and 700 would be a very nice price.. if the woofer is still in prime condiiton spiders are in good shape n coils are good... but yea id be worried about a guy using 2 4500s on 1 woofer..and then doing a 160db lol... riiiggghthhttt maybe port wars score Yeah, I'm concerned with the coil bc there's no way in hell this guy had it on 2 Sundown 4500's and could play music at full tilt as a daily setup!
-
Well he said 700, and I havnt texted me back and he keeps trying to sell me on it. He just texted me and said he did a 160.1 wit the lms 18" on 2 sundown 4500's in a tahoe. Is that possibly? I mean I'm interested but if this guy beat the shit out of it with 9,000+ watts, then I'm not very interested.
-
Well honestly I have no use for it, but if it was a STEAL then I'd go ahead and buy it and just do a build with it.
-
Damn. Well I talked him down to 700, he says it has >10 hours of play time and a 1 year warranty. Should I grab it up at that price?
-
I have some guy trying to sell me a used Tc Sounds Lms 5400 18" for 825. Is it even worth that? I've heard of them, but never seen one in person.

do the big 3, run 0 gauge wire, add an extra battery and see if that helps. If not, then your pretty much stuck with getting a new alternator if all else fails.

I have this idea...

he's saying widen the port and decrease the height if needed, the lower the ratio; the better off you are.
-
I would love to but I have about 3/4 in clearance between my back gate and my box. Lol I need a bigger car. Touche', Is there any way you can raise the height, and decrease the length so you don't have to sacrifice your airspace? Just trying to think of a way to help you out, bc I had a box with the port facing up and it wasn't as near as loud as my box that i have now with port facing back. I know what you mean. My crappy planet audio 12s with portthe back seemed almost as loud as my 15s when I had the port facing up but they couldn't hit near as low. My box +with the inverted subs is about 6it in away from my roof. If I go any higher it would almost be a wall lol. I might end up taking out the back seat and just going the whole 9 yards and getting two more 18s. They subs wont be her until march so I have a little time to decide. I understand that, not a lot of room in Jeeps. Thankfully my car was wide enough, I could get 17 cubes, and still keep it under 25" and IMO, I'd rather remove my back seat instead of walling off (unless competing), i just hate not being able to see whats behind me lol.

IMHO, you could leave the subs facing up, but I would put the port facing the back, it'll sound a lot better and louder. Especially with that low of tuning.
