Hmm, with all the spare ply, I can make an amp display or rack, or a battery display(if i get a 2nd battery) or something and use the spare the mdf that didn't get ruined for rings if I do my doors in the future or give to my friend who builds boxes for people for extra, so he can cut the pieces for me without charging me, cause Lowes doesn't really cut well( I have no table saw or anything, so having to rely on others unfortunately). I should have asked you guys before, since you guys have experience building, and I'm just a 19 year old kid trying to build my 1st box 19yr old "kid"? LoL that's adult plus a year. No excuses....you didn't research and ya screwed up. Live and learn Yeah, you're exactly right, and I'm learning, the hardway though but I should probably should just research, and ask questions BEFORE I do anything. Well, I screw up, I learn my mistakes, and I try again with a better plan.

Well, I'll just try again in the future, back to the drawing board again. Thanks guys for saving me from having a crappy box.

So I guess there's nothing I can to make the plywood better, somehow I felt this was a bad idea, but my mom kept telling me if I use just the plywood, it's gonna sound like shit, but it I wood fill it, sand it down, and apply a veneer, it'll be better, but I'm extremely doubt this cause even my friend who doesn't even know car audio, but home audio said plywood is crap since I would be losing a lot of sound. Next time, I'm going to Home Depot(even though it's farther) cause the guys at Lowes screwed me over twice now. I'll just save up money, buy the mdf, avoid liquids(got coolant spilled over on the last set by accident) and try again I guess.

the guys at lowes make minumum wage for a reason...... Yeah, next time I'm going to Home Depot, or at least not listen to them cause I'm feeling stupid for buying shit plywood.

Yeah, I was tagging and I accidently pressed enter, so sorry for the confusion

Before saying anything, please don't laugh, and don't suggest that I just go buy mdf, it's what I have to work with. Ok, I bought plywood since my mdf got ruined from liquid damage, so I originally wanted to buy birch, but the guy at lowes said that plywood was the same thing, so I got it, noticed it has holes, so I filled it with wood filler, but now I'm worried about the box sounding bad cause I read plywood is kinda bad, but any advice on what I can do to make it better? So far, I'm planning on sanding each piece to make it smooth.

Omega5002 replied to 412 CVX's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
Designed properly, a ported box can get the flat response of a sealed box, but with extra db's and better deep bass. Somebody should pin this topic -
Mine is an MB Quart FX1.600. Pretty good amp I must say

Omega5002 replied to punkrockprs's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
220? A new one sells for around $140, so maybe at most $100 outta it, depending on condition. my bad, didn't see the wattage Yeah, the only Kicker amp I can think of that would sell for $200 is the ZX 750.1 -

Your favourite CDs?
Omega5002 replied to Sergeant_Skyrim's topic in Tunez - All things music related
Since it's the only CD I own since I couldn't find downloads, it's by default, my favorite (transferred to ipod, and some of the songs bump epically ). Picked it up for £0.01 on Amazon.co.uk, and paid $5 to ship here. Drum & Bass Sessions - Introducing a music phenomena -
I'll try and get some videos ASAP. I was really impressed with the Skars. and nope, not a prefab, if I've learned anything from my time here it's that prefabs are an abomination! I had that box built by Skar as part of their combo deal. Around ~3.5 cubes net tuned to 33hz. Yeah, prefabs are junk, but nice start, bet it sounds epic

If you're gonna use it for home, I wouldn't recommend using a car amp on a power supply cause that usually doesn't work out well(distortion, not enough power cause a 400 watt psu won't do 400 watts on 12 volts, etc). You should save up for a professional amp people use for PA systems, or a plate amp to power that sub.

JL Audio
Omega5002 replied to cvxsmitty58's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
The amps are amazing though, I swear, the HD amps never distort. I heard the W3's, and C3's myself, so I can judge. -

JL Audio
Omega5002 replied to cvxsmitty58's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
Even if I had the money, I wouldn't buy JL products, especially since my friends taunts me sometimes with his all JL Audio system installed by "Pros", and even said my Kicker sounded like shit. He spent at least $3k for everything, which is just 2 HD amps, C3 components, and 2 W3 12's which he directly ordered from JL themselves, and had them "professionally" installed, and for me, $250 roughly for the sub, box, amp, and wiring kits, and installing it myself, so very unfair comparison. Now he's bragging that he's getting 2 W7 12's, and ZR components, putting an HD 750/1 for each W7 12', and putting them in a SEALED box lol, cause he says it has better sound quality. He was offering me his 2 sets of C3's for $400, and I literally told him "hell no", only 75 watts each, and sound like cheap speakers when pushed with too much power(he was feeding 125 watts), I can do way better for that, and I bet you guys know that too. SQ wise, JL products to me don't sound all that great to me, the W3's don't hit all that clean, the C3's mids have too big of a soundstage, and the tweeters are too bright in my opinion, though I am gonna hear the ZR's and W7's, and see how they sound when I turn on my "extremely picky, audiophile ears I developed from being in home audio before car audio" , and see what's all the hype for. Now don't get me wrong, it sounds good, but the cost isn't worth it. If I had that kind of money, I would go for Rockford Fosgate amps all the way
