for a 5000 watt amp you will need 2500 watt subs, trust me it will be really loud good, subs at that rating are AA mayhems FI btl and some DC subs

Like I said its a cheap set-up to begin with, it came with a 200a fuse but I do agree with it having extra inputs. but whatever, it works and sounds good and so i'm happy with it until I can afford more. okay i get what you are saying but dont claim it does 5000 watts (or 4200) because we all can see its bull crap. i own some RE xtx5000.1 and i have never claimed they are 10000 watts. but they do sound good for what you pay for

its 5000 watts max on that amp not RMS, true RMS it claims 2500 but im sure its around 1900 because of the fuse rating. if it was a true 5000 watt amp it would have 2 power and ground inputs plus the fuse rating would be at 500a not 175a.

when you say upgrade up front, you mean the battery and alternator? and then add an extra battery in the back? So 2 batteries? yes but if you can fit a big enough battery at front then there is no need for the second one if the alt is efficient enough

adding bigger wire either 1/0 gauge or 4 gauge. one wire from alt to battery another from ground to frame and another ground to engine block. i would run another ground to the alt to make sure the alt is grounded correctly

he has no problem with what his running now. he is upgrading to a bigger amp so an alt is a must

mechman dcpower or singer. stay away from caps. they are only good for a little amp just upgrade upfront and add a rear one so you have no voltage drop

get an alt that is between 200a to 220a and a xs d3100 or similar. if you are looking to upgrade later i would go with a 350a alt its only a few hundred bucks more

i agree with all you guys and would recommend him to do the same, what i think he is trying to say is run that ns-1 at 4 ohms to play it safe then wire it to 1 ohm once he upgrades or gets more subs, instead of buying a smaller amp then buying the ns-1 later
