  1. I think CVX lives by you. he makes and designs boxes as well as I do..but I ain't shipping out boxes anymore...like listed above...shipping is very expensive. I can be dead wrong as well.
  2. How about this? More port area per foot = Better sounding. Plus it's tuned to 32hz.Plus, I can sketch ya up what your box will look like if you're happy with what I have listed below.
  3. Okay going to be getting 2 level 3 12" DC audio subs. They have the level 4 softcone parts. I'm going out to tomorrow and buying the wood, so I'm posting this for a last second check from you guys. A cross brace will be in the middle, I just forgot to include it in my design. I also am making an amp rack behind the box.
  4. I got told that a yellow top battery would be okay though, is this true or false?
  5. is that an advance autozone battery? Lol I was going to do that in my trunk...cept I got yelled at by my mechanic not to do that.
  6. Lol looks like krannys on his f5 spree again.
  7. Lol particle board + the great stuff. Heck yeah! lol I want to wall off my buick skylark, but the seat area...will suck.
  8. Alright here's my closest one, although I shaved off a few on my volume, I think this would do justice. What you guys thinking?
  9. Lol so I have learned. Lol I did ask if the port volume at 13 is okay or should I shoot for more volume...which will cause me more headache...
  10. yeah, you guys responded to fast for me to correct it, I caught my mistake. I apologize.
  11. Ah, I totally read what you said wrong, Forgive me. But hopefully I got it right this time. Should I try to shoot for more port area or is it okay for 13?
  12. Thanks, makes me feel a whole lot better.
  13. *facepalm* I think I'm just going to pay someone to do it then, I'm sick of doing all this math..
  14. Okay, gonna be running a 2.0k dc audio amp to 2 12" DC level 3 w level 4 softcone parts, Since it's being overpowered by like 100rms, I built the box at 1.25cu ft per sub, so I tried to shoot for 2.5cu ft volume wise. I also wanted to tune it at 32, I have it as a side port. Any criticism is appreciated. I am also open to suggests. Another question...did I do my port calculation right, having 2 common walls. Still a noob to torres calculations
  15. Did you install your new battery yet, if I'm not mistaken, you have made several posts about how your vehicle's light dim and something about doing the big 3 upgrade and such..
  16. Thanks Cj, always very helpful to me =) What would you recommend the box being tuned too?
  17. Okay I got two dc audio level 3 with level 4 softcone it says 1.5cu ft area for a ported box, now I'm going to be pushing 2k rms to both of these subs. More power = less volume, so what should my ideal net volume be like. Right now I have it tuned to exactly 32hz at 2.86^2 net volume. Oh and what should I tune the box to. Sorry for so many questions, I want to box to sounds good for these two subs.
  18. I used to like skrillex alot for his dubstep..but he rarely makes anymore dubstep tracks anymore...plus much of his tracks consists of the same beat.
  19. I'm too lazy to do math. Lol. But I guess I'll do it later...when I got the time.
  20. Give me the maximum dimensions...and I'll plug in the numbers to see what it is like.
  21. You need to list the following... What is it tuned at: What is the dimensions of the box: What is the port area: Displacement of the subs (for the ones too lazy to look it up): Are you overpowering them or under powering them?
  22. You mean 9 sq. in of port? Yes sir.
  23. When the roads are really bad with Ice/Snow and some Esclade flies past you going 75mph. 1 mile up the road, he's at the bottom of the ditch with smoking piling out of his hood.
