i can build the hell out of some sealed boxs but ported and what knot get my brain hurting lol i got access to a panel saw and cabnet grade birch 3/4'' plywood for mdf prices, and got all kinds of tools and circle jig and what knot if i knew how to do ported boxs ied help but im more of a sealed box fan, if u can get a plan i can do it up proper tho king shit but good luck finding help tho mang, alot of people from nc here but none really local to me ecept a few tho were is cherry grove located? im in lenoir above hickory and below boon

they make em but u wont find one that looks like its decent for under $80, maby u can customize a stinger one and put the innards out of the other one in it or mod it n mount it to a stinger cover or something i like how auto meter guages look if u knew how to wire a 7 segment distplay and rig up a temperature sensor u could make a stinger volt meter read temperature, kinda like how the new truck scales are that use resistance to gauge the weight and what knot it can be done but i dont kno the first way of doing it, good luck finding one tho mang
-
when u mean stinger volt meter u talkin bout the rectangle ones like we got for like $17 a while back? i have yet to see anything like this but u can find em all day long for cheap in round guages, but i think there analog the cheaper ones lol, this the closest to the stinger but its $100 lol http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=40663&utm_source=nextag&utm_medium=cse i'll keep lookin tho mang

my knu rcas have it down the middle of em, there an older kind tho i think, there purple with gold ends on each side wit i guess remote wire down teh middle i love the shit out my kicker rcas but if u really want a cheap way to go, why not just make ur own? u can use what ever wire u want and what knot and make it to your liking im thinking about this too, get some of that expanding sleve shit and some speaker wire and some gold rca ends and some extra wire to run down the middle and heat shrink the end and it will look sick megalo make his cause he a sq freak and they seem to do a good job i think all supplys will end u out for a 20ft set should be around $30 if u want it cheap u can go alot cheaper but i unno, i wanna do some but it will be till i do some kinda rebuild -
oh, hmm i didn't kno it was twards a sundown amp, i dunno how they would handle a 1ohm or so load, should tho as long as its just tweets ur running at that ohm load im not gunna tell u to do it cause it might void warrenty so we'll let someone from sundown tell ya but to let ya know ive ran a amp at 1.5ohm and it was fine
-
class a/b amps run different than mono or w.e sub amps come out wit ive seen people run amps lower than normal, but with tweets it wont hurt anything as long as its got a good electrical back up, same wit sub amps too hell some of the old ass ma audio 2ch amps were .5ohm stereo stable, the 2ch i had was 1ohm stereo stable too ive ran my 2ch and 4ch amps at 2ohms each and i see no harm in anything lower, just dont go as long as like .75ohm or w/e, 1ohm should be fine tho as long as u aint gain happy with it

since its only getting hot on low notes, did u try to adjust ur sub sonic filter to see if that fixes it? try and set it a few notches above box tuneing and u got the bass boost turned up? edit: oh, and u could be clipping it due to electrical strain also, do u have big 3 done or is everything stock? and if amp takes 4guage run 0guage to amp then put a reducer on the end to 4guage, will help wit current flow also

damn, prices must of came down alot sence i took that class, i guess if u was gunna come off the grid it would be a lil more, would help if u had back up batteries if u lived where it had alot of bad weather or snow anyways glad to see its working for u, we gotta find a way to get our $400 light bill down but dad wont let me fix anything, i tell him whats wrong and hes like "shut up, if it aint broke dont fix it", im like, well quit bitching about high power bills then lol -
have yall seen this yet? its new to me so i unno http://revision3.com/joegenius/diythemepark

lol, i kno how ya feel, but the bad thing in my part is my geos trunk aint the factory trunk, it was hit in the ass end and was pull back out wit a frame machine and another trunk welded on to it if i do a setup i will have to build my box in the trunk witch is gunna suck ass -
^^ this or maby its not working right are the tweets ran threw the comps cross over, and mids going str8 to amp? also check wires going into cross over cause they might be wired wrong, i had that problem with my kicker comp set, i was moveing the cross overs and i had the wire comeing from amp going into tweet output and tweets wired to cross over input, it worked but distorted bad, but i soon fixed it lol but i unno what else could be ur problem, does the amp go to protect, or just speakers cut out? try to unhook each speaker till it stops, or try it without any speakers for a lil bit, i had to do this befor with one of my amps

i haven't had any of the newer alpines but every pioneer ive had was good, and this one is within budget and has what u want, i found a jvc with dvd and screan on faceplate for around ur budget but i dunno if it does ipod or not this one does ipod, bluetooth, and what knot, http://www.audiosavings.com/products/In-Dash-CD-Receiver-and-Monitor/PIONEER-DEH-P7100BT-IPOD-USB-CD-MP3-BLUETOOTH-RECEIVER/DEHP7100BT.aspx i might get that one if i get a new one
-
1. what ohm load are u running your 4ch at? 2. if the 4ch takes 8guage then run 4gugage grounds then drop it to 8guage at amp if u can 3. what kinda sub amp do u have? does it cut out when the subs are cut off? and try and check your rcas, might have a loose connection somewhere, and check wires comeing from amp, might be loose
-
thats some oldschool shit mang, my buddy had one but it had 2 fans in it, it pushed 2 10's of mine like hell and if u aint looked yet or prolly have, most amps have a diagram on bottom to show u what ohm load it will handle n what knot
-
hmm, cool then, ya i kno how to crimp and what knot the regular harnesses but plug n play still is better, ive always thought it was cool and bestbuy sells em? prolly why there able to install a system from scratch in 30min lol anyone kno where i can get factory plugs for a 99 tacoma? i want to play around with my stock radio that i took out of my truck and i think this is the only way to be able to do so, i was gunna put stock cdplayer on top and pioneer on bottom lol i guess i can check the junkyard tho

i took this in collage and even the teach said it was a wast of money cause they only last a few yrs, and u still have to pay a power bill cause once ur off the grid it costs to much to get put back on, thats why power bills are so expinsive right now due to people going the energy efficent route and what knot its a great idea imho but unless what we went over was a few yrs back, for a 2000sqf home it would cost about $300,000 in a 40yrs span for solar cells/battery replacements, now i dunno wtf they was hinting at cause if u only spend $1,500 was that for 1 cell or more? we went threw the whole green bullshit setup from blower doors to see how much air a house is looseing, to geothermal heat pumps and water heating i think its a good idea but at cost i dunno so much, i got 2 dvd's on green shit, and that one dude made one from the $1,500 class he took and put it all on dvd for us to use and what knot if u want it to run more efficent try and seal around windows and doors a lil bit, and we went threw the whole attic vent part of a house and we found out that no where in building codes does it require one to have one, so its just a past on tradidion they say, but i think it helps get the hot air out of the roof to help cool the house im glad u get something out of solar but from what they taught us it was as much of shit as geothermal is, cause no matter what u will need a back up system, like solar, what if something happins to your cells or battery bank and u need power? ur still paying a bill to the power company to keep you on the grid so i dunno how efficent they are, now if they could rig up something and mount solar panels to light poles and what knot, they could take some strain off the grid so they dont have to put load managements on peoples houses and cut off the heat pump when theres a large strain on the grid but anyways great that ur getting something out of urs
