im the same way with my ears, i work ina furniture factory and i do the sealin up of the boxs for them to be shipped and the skid gun i use hurts my ears more than my system does, i can play my stereo as loud as i want and my hearin is fine after but usein that damn nail gun for 1hr of that fukin popin sound it makes when the staple goes in the wood hurts my ears somethin aweful, ive always wondered why lower freq's dont bother me but higher ones do, and x2 on metal on the ears fukin sucks, i wished they could make a fullrange midbass so there is no need for tweets cause sometimes my tweets hurt my ears and i gotta turn the subs up more, but to get back on topic u need to do dat shit to one of those guys takin up money at some stoplights like they do here

they said that the mtx8000 was susposto be like the musical rfl but i unno, this is what i got http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/archive/2003thunder8000sub.cfm the 1504 version, they sound really good but i dont kno how much power i can acually push to em without messin anything up, i got my memphis 1000 wired to 2ohm givein 800rms/ 400rms to each and i think they got more behind them but i dont want to push em to hard cause they dont sell em anymore and i got these at a steal with a box

u might be better off with a folded horn i think is what its called and would get more output, what im talkin about is were the wall of the port is thats were the subs will be mounted

why not rethread it and put another screw? oh and if it has 2 + and 2 - beside eachother there already bridged to one channel so it wont matter witch ones u hook it to, my mtx 500d was like that, it shouldn't mess anything up, does it say speaker 1 | speaker 2 or left | right? + - + - +- +-

u can either go 2ohm each sub then in parallel to 1ohm, or .5ohm then series to 1ohm? like + - to + then - and use the + and - on each side on each sub to get 2ohm then wire down to 1ohm, or go ++--++-- and then take 1st pos hook to amp and wire the - to the pos and take the neg and go to amp, i dont kno if this discribes it good enulf but i tryed

i wanna meter mine and see what it puts up and its a sealed downfire, it hits pritty good imo

what set of db's u got the older ones the db6500? or 6501? i got a set of 6500 componits and a set of 6501 coax for the honda and they got good midbass but there not in the honda yet i had em hooked to the house stereo and they got hella loud and clean, and i got a set of kicker ks componits in front doors and a set of ds coax in back off a memphis 150.2 and they got some good midbass and are clean soundin, did u change the hpf xover point on ur amp to see if u can get more midbass out of em? thats what i had to do wit mine, anyways good luck on findin some good componits
