  1. comp on august 12th in anchorage at uaa. check out soundworks facebook, they are hosting the spl comp at the show. they will post more info on the show as the date gets closer. registration starts at 10 am i believe it said.
  2. ^ hey that doesnt sound like a bad idea. although you would need so some how make room for a cooler to keep all the other drinks in...
  3. ^ mine cam with 6 gauge, and if im not mistaken most cars are stock 8-6gauge which isnt realy any better but yeah do the big 3 in 1/0 gauge. the yellow tops might hold up but you might want to consider getting more as they might be needed.
  4. check with mechman dc power and singer alts. one of them should/will have an alt for you.
  5. get a h/u with ipod control and a remote. proplem solved. dont have to look at anything to change songs or volume. thats why they make cd players with those functions.
  6. there is no point to txt and drive. i was young and dumb and would do it before but after hearing about so many accidents i havent done it since i was about 17-18. txt while driving should be considered a dui, driving under the influence isnt just drugs what not. the guy was driving under the influence of a electronic device. i wont even look at my cd player while driving. i keep the remote on my lap so that i can easily grab it and change the songs or volume with out ever taking my eyes off the road.
  7. well, dykes arent to bad. depending on how they look and as long as the strapon isnt involved lol...
  8. well i would do which ever one is cheaper for you. altough the alt with big 3 would make a big difference.
  9. hmmm... maybe cut across the bottom of the back as low as you can. reach up in there and place the sound deadener then use some velcro to hold the carpet down agian?
  10. the fabric/carpet should be held on at the bottom and should be removable.
  11. do you have kids and a limited amount of money? makes perfect sense in a budget build where you have to make sure your kids can still ride.
  12. all walls are removeable, all you need is a sledgehammer... seriously though, stupid ass idea. get another vehicle if you have to worry about kids in the back seat. Yes, removable wall is dumb, until someone makes it work and work well, then all of a sudden its "sick". Seriously though, go read post number #7 in this thread. post #7 doesnt' change my response to the post i quoted. kthx, have a nice day. it actually does change it because he had already said he is working on a second vehicle. the post you quoted was just him saying he would like to but with his current situation he cant...
  13. make a board that fits with less then a 1/4" of room between it and the car then get some door seals and put that on the edge of the board. get it nice and snug then remove it flip box to the back put kids in car.
  14. walling is the new back window display. if you dont have a wall you dont have a back window display. simple as that
  15. I think that's what I'm gonna do for sure. My battery is actually under the back seat but, thanks man! so what your saying is that the stock battery on that car is under the back seat? never would have thought that pontaic would have done something like that.
  16. cant beleive no one mention this... i mean it one of the most important things they could have told you. well i guess i should tell you then... replace the stock battery under the hood, doing that can make a good difference.if that doesnt work i would buy a ho alt
  17. so far i keep rebuilding but this time will be the last. gotta do a sq build in the wifes car and then performance mods for my car.
  18. yeah, we need numbers from this.. im currently saving and buying for a wall build with 4 12s in my focus zx5.
  19. dont gotta tune to 55hz... im doing a 146.6 with 2 rockford t2d412" on a t1500.1bdcp tuned at 43 hz. of course that is with an audio contol meter (ac 190) but they dont measure to far off of the termlab. if you build a strong box with the right design you could get into the high 40s. i have heard a lot about sub up port back port on driver side being great in hatch's. double baffle and strong braces, 45 in the port corner if you do a slot port or if you do round ports you could have 2 different ports. have one tuned around 35hz or lower if you want for daily then swap it out with a port tuned higher for competing. keep you voltage running strong and you could do mid-high 40s with 2 12s or a single 15 all day.
  20. that explains why you can smell the the subs warming up when there new. glad to finaly know what lpf means, now i dont feel so weird that i get hungry everytime i smell a new setup...
  21. If you run a wire from the h/u to the battery bank you should fuse the wire. Even if the h/u as a fuse it would be better to and wouldn't cost much more.
  22. ^^ so all but 1 had round baskets? lol. what a dead give away. evey once in a while there are liqudation sales here and if you go on the first and last day you can get some good deals. the first day is when all the legit stuff sales. ive seen some of the higher end pioneer double din touchscreens brand new go for about 150-200. then they had a few sets of rockford speakers in an enclosure sell for under 200 each. got a brand new sony camera for 150 dropped it and broke it the same day went back there the last day and they asked me how i like the camera, told them it dropped and broke the same day and they gave me a new one free with a case... some of those sales are legit. some of those sales arent. some of them have "vendors" from several places and only some of them are legit. the only way to tell is if you go and check it out.
  23. do you know if its possible to wire that voltage display to you batterybank/amp? would be great if it could be or is it only able to read the voltage at the head unit? really looking foward to buying this thing. looks great and all the options are great. dont forget to mention the 5v pre-outs.
