  1. one big problem people make with doctors is they A) dont get them to run down what they are doing and why (I suggest a recorder or pen and paper so you can jot down everything and refer to it for questions) and they just take whatever they say as the only option. for a procedure like that, after the mis-diagnosis and failed surgery, somewhat off the rails timing of surgeries, ect, ect, I would suggest you get a second opionion before you go much further. I assume this doctor is not just your general practitioner doctor, but rather the surgeon? If so, you can take it up with whomever is chief surgeon at that hospital to request your case be reviewed by another physician. surgeons are generally mega assholes anyway. he should know better than to keep opening you up needlessly or because he doesnt want to do it all in one sitting (more opportunity for infection, medicinal complications, furher degradation of your ailments, ect, ect). And you are in PA, not some back woods town somewhere, so I assume this isnt the same dude that also makes sure the cows deliver on time
  2. I'd take the 9887 just cause its got all the features that the x100 should have. the pre-outs isnt a big dead imo, once you set your gains correctly, it wont make much impact anyway.
  3. go for the most money....the important thing here is that you are paying for school...the more you earn during the off season, the more you have saved to handle tuition and the always rising cost of books...not to mention all the incidentals like having to get car repairs and whatnot. fun is fun, but the school/dough is a priority.
  4. know what I got from all that? you are too immature to own a firearm. you are too scared to own a firearm. you have too much to prove to own a firearm. you have entirely too much pent up hostility and a strange sense of entitlement that makes you very much the wrong type of person to own a firearm. From the whole story, you didnt even note that at the end, when you actually TALKED to the guy, he was like "oh, I thought YOU were trying to start something". so if you had a gun and pulled it on him one of two things would have happened: 1) he would have backed down, you would have felt good about yourself until either he came back with his own or until the cops came and got you or 2) he wouldnt have backed down and you would have either shot him or got shot/beat with your own weapon. You werent even "playing games", you were running all over town like a little kid trying to get away instead of just handling it to begin with. you yelled something at the wrong person, all you had to do was say sorry, I wasnt talking to you. there was absolutely no need for static. grow up already. also-who the hell hangs out in a walmart parking lot anyway? also part2-did you at least get somewhere with your date? a little slap and tickle ?
  5. ^what he said. besides, you are pursuing a degree in industrial design, key word is design. Not engineering. As a designer, you have to do all of that ground planning to get to a point where the engineers can start building your creation, a handful of sketches aint gonna do it. if you dont want to spend that kind of time on those activities I'd suggest switching your focus...you will just have a job that you hate designing forks
  6. glad you had fun, most people I know who visit socal say the same thing (and often come back dead broke ) good luck with your goal to move out there! the only place I've been that I absolutely wanted to stay was Hawaii
  7. for 5grand, I'd knock somebody the hell out on the first slap
  8. happy b-day...enjoy that youth there young'n! tell your friends to not skimp on the birthday lumps either
  9. me too. I had a german shephard/doberman mix that loved other animals to death and would shy away from other aggresive animals, big or small, but he wasnt a punk...he just didnt want to hurt them, so whenever someone else's animal tried to get mean with him I would cover his back and he had mine when it came to people, whom he didnt mind hurting. once a baby bird fell out of its nest in the enclosed area of our deck, and he just basically fell in love with it and stood sentry until we found it and snuck it back into the nest. man I miss him...
  10. sounds right to me... are you certain all fans are plugged in too (in particular if there is a fan on the cpu heatsink. many motherboards wont power on if that fan is not plugged in). You can also use this process to definitely determine the PSU is not at fault (cause then you might be able to return it and keep using the original): http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/other/22 if there is a grounding problem on the mobo it might have killed that psu before anything else happened.
  11. ummm.....1-5 a month tops. not 1-5 thousand or 1-5 hundred. really, probably more like 0-5. somebody texts me and needs a response, I call 'em back. guess I'm old school
  12. how new is the power supply and what kind/wattage is it? was the power supply replaced because of this issue and now it still doesnt power on? are you sure it can support the computer? do you have a psu tester to verify? might be the mobo or even the button on the case. try shoring the pins on the motherboard that the power button goes to with a paper clip or something...
  13. cool, I figured there was a better way than what I was gonna do (alot of running back and forth )
  14. Okay, so I've got a cda-9887 head unit and its got a fairly robust crossover built into it, so should I be aiming to make sure its as accurate as possible in tandem with my amp's settings? Or should I be making an effort to set them seperately? I was thinking it might best to set the amps crossover's to thier "highest" (as far to the right as the nobs will go) so that the they will play ANYTHING the head unit sends without trying to further process it or skin off more/less than what its already recieving from the head unit...does that make sense? This will make it easier to modify stuff on the fly too as there wont be any kind of overlap...am I right or just nuts? thanks
  15. wow...you serious? how do you get diagnosed with something like this? I...have an interest. Is there medication to help or is it a therapy thing?
  16. dangerous gig, hope it pays well...I met a repo man at the barber shop once and he was telling us about how he never gets out of the truck without his knife and gun + a lookout person. he said he gets most of his success at people's parents houses on Christmas/Thanksgiving cause they are home for the holidays. whatta christmas that must be.
  17. i like your attitude twigz...people went from helping you to getting annoyed with you, but you didnt fire back and tell them to fuck off or anything...you will never have high blood pressure like you said, you will learn from doing. I doubt the first time anybody here started messing with live electrical wiring they were the picture of calm...of course there was no internet to help back then so we either got shocked or didnt
  18. lol..."hey maam, I was just going to give you some fresh morning wood" nice crib btw...
  19. aha, now I got you...I'd noticed anti-ED stuff on other forums too, just never bothered to inquire. oh well, thier products dont fit my needs right now anyway
  20. why the ED hate? do they not do rated power or something? poor customer service or reliability?
  21. man, how old are you? collegiate level people should have a little more sense/control. are you sure you werent shit talking to? I say goad him into something then call the cops. 30 witnesses + a camera = jail time.
  22. umm, wait, was the question again? oh yeah, ben franklin didnt invent electricity, I did!
  23. call it quits...you said that was your initial promise because deep down you knew it was going to work out this way. I dont know if moving away would be the straw to break my back but the facts are getting more and more distressing....first location, then pay, then work schedule....alot is going to change down the road.
  24. Wow, I'm sorry for your loss... who steals dogs? were they prize winning champs or something? if not, that almost sounds more like a personal type thing...
