    So any medal winner in the Olympics gets to come home to the US taxing them for winning a gold/silver/bronze medal. All I can say is wow.

      I can understand getting taxed on lottery and etc, but I feel that the Olympics should be excluded.

      Our athletes get a lot of help from the country, however $10k is an astounding amount, I think it should still fall under some form of income tax.

      Russians get paid to go. That's why Becky Hammon (Not sure I spelt that right) plays for Russia and not America. She has dual citizenship so can play for either.
