Pretty sure the internal water pump just went out on my car. Just as the odometer rolled over 170k. Well it was nice knowing ya stratass.

yeah, if it you replace the pump, you replace the timing chain and sprokets with updated ones. worth fixing, but not worth $1200 of mechanic fees.

No but worth doing yourself. Unless it's packed in like a can of sardines where you can't even get 1 finger in there.

It's not too bad of a job if you are mechanically inclined and have a decent set of tools.
