  1. i mean if you already done the big 3 and upgraded alts, then it is your call i guess. if your having that bad of dimming problems/voltage issues, then slap another battery in....if u dont, then dont...but i still say add a second
  2. might as well as explain this.... Big 3 consists of: 1) add a positive run of wire from your front battery to the alternator's positive post (fuse within 18" of alternator) 2) add a run of ground wire from your front battery's negative post to the frame 3) run a ground run of wire from the alt. mounting bracket (or thereabouts) to the frame leave all of the stock wiring in place. all of the above are additions to the stock wiring. i would use 1/0gague wire if u can. all of this will help with any light dimming issues/voltage problems.
  3. if you dont do anything with the stock wiring then dont worry about the alt....unless u plan on doing the big 3 upgrade...oh and make sure u fuse within 18" of the front battery
  4. i gotta question...i have never done a large, multi-amp install like most of yours steve. how do u run/wire all of the remote wire and rca's? are the remote wires ran to a relay or something and the rca's to a line converter or crossover or something...??
  5. ^^sorry for this meaningless input...but i just have to say that ray, your avatar is fuckin hilarious
  6. i would go for the dual 1 coil configuration so you can get a 1ohm load. then id go for a IA20.1...1800watts@1ohm. i think it is just little above your price range...but worth it, imo
  7. thats fuckin schweet... :-*
  8. one of these days when i graduate and have some actual money, i may just have to jump on the fi bandwagon...
  9. www.ficaraudio.com ya misspelled it there bro
  10. if that is $1,000 for 2 18" subs...then that is damn good. and the mt will take 5k watts all day.
  11. i use some snips for cutting sheet metal...works like a charm for 1/0gauge
  12. i saw that fukuda thing a few weeks ago online...but damn is it expensive. you'd figure you would be able to jimmy rig something similar for a hell of a lot cheaper.
  13. scary how similar they are...besides the finish on the motor and the dust cap...they look exactly the same.
  14. didnt atomic just come out with a 22" or something thereabouts??
  15. it would be a sight to see...i'll give u that...
  16. 4 jackhammers= 1476lbs (369lbs/sub) +batteries and amps=1/2 ton + other shit... you are looking at a couple tons in equipment...you can forget daily driving that thing (or if u do, it probably wont last long) plus they recomment about 4 cubes sealed or about 8.5 cubes ported and that is after displacement, 4 subs would displace 7.2 cubes...so u are looking at about a 23cf sealed box, or like a 42cf ported box...no way...it is just dumb and a waste of time the only guy i know of using one from termpro hasnt had very good luck with it thus far, i think he only got in the 130's or low 140's with it...i cant remember the wow factor might be there for youngsters or people just getting interested in car audio...but if i saw something like that, i would probably take a few pics and have a few laughs over it...would be kinda stupid imo...
