We put a turn down on my brothers truck after the cat. Where the stock muffler unbolts. No muffler just cat and turn down before the axle. It sounds like an offshore boat or offroad truck. Really deep. If you want a really low tone see if they can weld you up and x pipe...those give the best sound imho

You could use two of the smaller cheap marine grade amps from pyle or whoever else makes them and keep your power draw low. a component set on one amp and 2 8" low power woofers on the other in a little sealed box would probably sound pretty good especially being on a canoe lol.

My glock and my streetbike would be my defense. Have touring bags..tons of ammo...fast nimble good on gas and can do 60mph in less than 3 seconds. But if I was stuck with the truck I think the best chance you would have at killing a zombie with a sub is to beat em with the magnet. And if some mother F'er wants to come at me on bath salts only one of us is walking away and thats gonna be me.

Just base it off theose rating..yeah most their stuff does better than rated on the birth sheet...but they dont normally seem to be a big difference...especially on the smaller amps. I would expect like 130-140w outta it. not enough to make a difference in an install really.

Yea you could do that...i did it for a little while on my old setup..same amp. But if it gets unplugged for anyreason things can get bad pretty fast. lol. Your better off adjusting your gain without the knob plugged in...maybe adjust it a tad higher for songs that are lacking. Than you can use the knob to turn it down on songs that are more bass intensive but the difference wont be so huge that if it gets unplugged it starts clipping to shit.

Just do it and paint match it to the car. Get the same color or it will be different...Black is not Black is not Black. You will have to sand the chrome..all of it...every inch or the paint will flake off. Not really rough grit but enought to give the paint a surface to stick too. But before all of it grab a beer and relax.

You could buy a kit and wait on shipping or go to the auto parts store tell the guy you need a simple relay to turn on some pc fans..and get the relay with a matching socket so its easy to wire. There are tons and tons of links online to show you how to wire a relay...its simple. I use a relay to turn on my 4 offroad lights and fog lights with a single switch...that way the switch doesnt have to handle 330watts.

maybe instead of getting pissed off..download photoshop trial...learn in 5minutes how to do layers/masks and filters than do it. Not super duper hard. the hardest part will be selecting all the chrome. If i wasnt at work I could do it.

I was going to do the same...but not power straight from remote wire. Run a relay for your remote wire...then wire the fans to the relay and bingo. I think that would be the simplest...and they sell relay and plugs at any autoparts store.

Yea I saw that type r 8...I didnt realize alpine made an 8 lol. SA8v2s are straight beasts but I'm looking for a lower power dual 8 setup thats going into about 1ft sealed. The Sundown E8v2 was first choice just from my experience with sundown. But now coming across the type r and RF p2 8's they are all priced similarly with e8v2 and XD8. Makes decisions hard lol. Hmmm. In this world I think it would be beneficial to have a dash cam lol. I ride with my gopro on everytime I'm on my streetbike...not to show off my awesome riding skill but because if some asshole hits me I want it on camera when it comes down to inurance claims and whos fault it is.

build a small box around the amp/s and do a push/pull fan set up. Get some cheap cpu fans and hook up a realy to your remote turn-on on the amp.

I dont think they are saying drop out entirely. Just a semester or two break get established at your job than go back. I had to take a semester break at one point and pick up an extra job. You just have to be committed to go back. and follow through.

Huh? Would lock washers help? Like previous poster said...nylock nuts would probably be better. You will probably be messing with the bolts long before they "creep". My motocross bike is built almost purely out of aluminum with Stainless/titanium bolts. I never have a problem with them backing out..but I properly torque everything when I work on it.

You're doing bus bars as in solid stock aluminum like 3/8 1/2 inch thick right? something like that? if so than I wouldnt worry about the aluminum moving...watch the terminal ends though...its ok if they get a little flatter but you dont want to smash them so bad the bolt pushes through. All those torque specs are in inch lbs so its not a huge amount of force...but certainly enough to get a good conection. Yeah its 3/8 thick and 2 inches wide. Also I use 2/0 tinned lugs to they should be ok Oh yea dude youre golden. I would tighten to the specs listed on that sight. Or just go for it and get em nice and tight by feel...if you used any kind of quality bolt than you can crank em pretty good.

THis ISF is awesomeness.....I like the air channel cooling idea. I am going to be a copycat and steal this idea for a underseat amp rack. Push pull setup to keep amps cool..but in a box away from everything else.

Every thing I have read and seen on here shows that 45's most of the time hurt spl....I would only do the triangle.
