  1. Any way we can catch a video of these powered up? Debating on swapping the rear vxi's out for the rpx 6.5s and throwing the vxi's in the rear doors.
  2. I was going to utilize the wheel well for the spare for my battery bank, I knew those 2 would fit as is. But what would you suggest Nathan? Down the road I'm moving to the Sk4500 or adding another sk2500.
  3. I've got a 2008 Chevy Aveo Ls with a 1.6L 4cyl. I found a 170amp high output alt through Singer, biggest that can fit stock in my car. I've checked the website for battery fitment and it came back to a D4800 for under the hood. I'm doing a build using all Skar Audio amps. Right not the builds planned out and going through with an Sk85.4 for mids and highs, picking up another for another set of doors and kicks. If I don't upgrade over to the 125.4s. Subs for the time being, sk2500 on two zvx12s at either .5 or 1ohm, haven't decided between d1 or d2 woofers yet. With the d4800 under the hood, I was planning on two S975s in the trunk as the rear battery bank. But if I can get further reliable and stable power with different options I'm open to them. Of course the big 3s getting done, I don't intend on playing off the batteries for long periods of time, and an intellichargers gonna get tossed in as well. I already talked to Jeff about this a while back, just wondering what other options anyone could throw my way.
  4. Not intending on being a bad guy here, but I'm in the Jacksonville area. I deal with a number of deputies and detectives in 2 surrounding counties including Duval for school. I'm more than happy to do a home visit if need be. If the case that he is in North Carolina, I can be at my uncle's in about 8 hours.
  5. My left (inline mic) bud seems quieter than the right. They aren't as loud as I was expecting, working in a kitchen I'm usually only going with one earbud on anyway but I still like the bass and loudness. Not bad for the price though I guess, I'll still continue as a happy Skar customer :-) I did notice though that they didn't plug 100% of the way into my iPod though, that's apples design flaw not Skars. I'll give em a round at work tomorrow and see if I notice any changes
  6. I'm already wanting to redo 2 pairs of speaker towers I've got here at the house with the pro audio line up, super tweeters, and a pair of ivx 12s.
  7. Flako I'll hit you my take on them over Facebook before work tomororrow
  8. Got offered a job paying 4x the paychecks I am now and actual hours... Prides holding me back being an original employee where I'm at though :/ Not sure what to do.

My manager is my ex's current boyfriend. It's not that bad man.

I have a friend that recently quit his job at the grocery store I work at to earn twice the amount of money, get the same hours but consistent, and he likes it more--at the local hospital. Money isn't happiness, but it sure enough aids in creating happiness.

i'd do it without a doubt. I just started working away in the oil field, I told my self I would never do it.. but after my first pay check. I think I'm hooked, money talks. lol

Well with my hours not being as expected I guess I could look more into the other job for my off days, potentially dropping the bar entirely. Just over the favortism that occurs with scheduling and getting called in on my days off for a month straight. Wound up working 5 weeks straight without a day to myself whether being on for a shift or called in to cover.

  9. I should have mine before work tomorrow night, so I'll give em a listen and try throwing a review together before I gotta leave. Still waiting on a new (to me, bought used) ipod I snagged on ebay then I won't be so cranky at work.
  10. Bad link after I tried bringing it up a few times. Are they pictures or a video? If they're pictures, try uploading them to photobucket and post them here using the tags. Video, try uploading it on YouTube.
  11. SBN will honestly be the first I've heard any equipment aside from the 85.4 and Vxis in person. Ah well haha
  12. They just got in and shipped yesterday. Skar via facebook. Should have mine today or tomorrow
  13. Yeah, I gotcha. I love the simplicity of a nice, clean single 12 setup. Pair of 12s for me More cone area + high power. Everything in the long runs in my sig \/\/\/\/\/
  14. That's like an hour or so right Cody? I'm sure it'd get down. I'm just trying to stick to the trunk build, do it right and once, be done till I pick up a Tahoe or suburban
  15. DMM ~ digital multi-meter. I only suggested the duals because cca has a lower conductive conductive rating. There are people competing with 2 sub setups.
  16. 2 separate chambers, 3 subs a peice. 1.1ft^3 a peice per sub if I recall. It's a wall we had in a buddy's corolla but oddly the dimensions match up with my car. Had 6 kicker cvrs in it. I might take it and throw 6 IVX12s in it on a sk2500 at 2.66 ohms if i remember the math being right.
  17. I've seen JL, Kicker, Atomic, Pioneer, all the other over priced, under powered, crappy, what not. Riding down after work that Friday, got my grunt pass for the weekend, and meeting with the Installers Institute Monday morning before coming back up. Maybe down the road make it onto the team, who knows. I still have the option to throw a wall in the car asap, since its already built but in storage, or keep on with the trunk build I originally intended. Who knows.. Just putting the money away at this point since it won't be done intime for this years show.
  18. He sells them in pairs, so you'd be getting a power and ground block per pair. I've been in touch with him on the exact ones, they're safe for the amp; you'd just need 2 additional fuses per input. Granted you'd need to do a wrap or 2 of electrical tape on the positive to prevent arching, just from being close together and super conductive aluminum. He has a website, not 100% updated though - http://toolmakermetalworkz.com/ You can get them either with or without the voltmeter input.
  19. Not on the team, and not a dealer. Working on a dedicated build but with a few hiccups it won't be done until late this season, but by golly she'll get done. In an odd car at that. Ha. Hitting SBN up friday night, and not coming back home till Monday. Northeastern Florida resident as well. I don't see too many people on a daily basis that are super into bass. If I do they're stuck on JL or Kicker. And its like meh. Cody, where at in NE Fl?
  20. With the right battery reserve, high output, etc, the 4500 should be fine. I'll be running a 4500 on a 170amp high output with an XS power d4800 and 2 s975s, all ofc 1/0awg wiring. Such a low high output alt because I have an odd car and a custom build isn't within the budget. Steve ran the zvx15 on the 2500 @ 1ohm if I recall. But 2 Zvx 15s will survive the sk4500, just watch the tuning. Since your using CCA wire, I'd suggest doing double runs to the amp, so dual-dual inputs. Toolmaker sells dual input blocks for about $30 a pair.

Think so. Was a '96 Bonneville. They looked at the struts, some ties, ball joints, so on and so forth. Everything was worn a little but, it all looked good and they couldn't see why. So now? New. Hence an '08, '10 and now '13 lol. All brand new off the dealer lot with no more than 8 miles.
