    So I'm building a computer out of spare parts I had for a friend and as soon as I pulled the CPU out a the motherboard he touched the pins.... I now can't get the CPU to work..

      Did you test the cpu before you pulled it? That shouldn't have done any damage unless he bent the pins. Or drags his feet when he walks.

      I had been using it in my main computer.

      I still want to believe I just have something plugged in wrong, but I'm not thinking I do.
