yeah, I agree panasonics do skip, everyone around here no lie this is all of our set ups (yes me included) panasonic HU, Kicker subs, Hifonics amps. I did start the panasonic and kicker though.....

I want to know if anyone has any tips/tricks to get HU's stop skipping when the bass hits. I just bought a panasonic HU a few months ago and the bass is hitting too hard and causing it so completely stop playing for a few seconds occasionaly, and skips quite frequently. I don't know if it's cheap burnt cd's I have or if it's the HU, and info would be great, thanks.

Well this is just IMO, but I think you would be much happier with the BTL then the Solo X, that's all. If someone doesn't agree with me, tough luck, that's my recommendation. That's just my cup of tea. Don't get me wrong I have 4 L7's, but I would be much happier with 4 btl's. Price was the deciding facvtor in my decision though.

Yeah, you gotta be clear on that, do you want to it be really loud and sound like crap, or do you wanna hit not 'AS' loud but sound real good, my choice/recommendation is the BTL

I used to run the 4 ga kicker hyper flex stuff. For bending purposes it was amazing! I deffinately like the kicker wire though.

Those scms have been going around Ebay for some time now. Everynow and then you'll see one of these where you are not bidding on anything but a stupid list of site that sells the product. It's deffinately a scam and should'nt be bought into!

After some deliberation, some advice, and being in the right place at the right time turned me on to these, MB Quart discus 2-way coaxels 6.5" DCF116. I went up to our local car stereo shop (car stereo one) walked in waitin for my friend to come out from the back. One of the floor guys came to me to ask what I was lookin for. I told him some speakers (although I was tryin to ask my buddy what he could do for me for 45 ft of 1/0ga. wire) so he started to show me some speakers when my friend came out. He asked me what I was lookin for (with the other guy stading next to me) so I said some 6.5" speakers. At this time the other guy walked away when he asked if I was lokin to buy today, I replied with "probably in about a week or two". He tells me "that's too bad we had a guy special order these MB Quarts but they dont fit his 5.5" speaker holes." I was thinkin oh, rly? He said yeah, they were going to $289 (showed me his computer screen), but because he knows me he says I'll give them to you at cost (which he normally does) gave them to me for $96 each set (bought 2 sets)!!! I was thinkin wow! checked ebay for these they were $118 + $26 (or so) for a pair. Anyway I ended up getting them and am working on getting them in the doors, right now I'm just going to run them off of the HU till I can save some money for another amp for them. But yeah, I'm excited about these!

Love the skylines!!! I wish I had some extra cash to play with one, but then again I dont even have the money to do my trailblazer the way I wanna do it . I'm sorry, I know people may disagree, but the wing on the 350z really shouldnt be there...I'm not really a fan of those types of wings in the first place, yes I did have one on my old car, but I bought it like that. it would look a lot better with a smaller wing, but that particular one is too much. I think you should go for it. I tried at a local shop here right outta high school, but that was before SMD, I am supprised at how much I've learned here, just by reading the posts, I may not comment much, but I read it. IMO you should go for it, never hurt to try!

yeah, if you're running it at 1 ohm, each channel will give you 250 watts, just don't bridge them.

Ok, I'm sorry I will eat my words, they are 1 ohm stable, but you can not bridge them. I thought you were gonna try and bridge them @ 1 ohm. My bad.

It would probably help if he had the correct model number, if your talking about the 2 channel power series amp, it's either 400 or 600, no 500. But I'm not here to grille you on that, lol. But I am assuming it is a 2 channel amp, which are 2 ohm. maybe someone can clarify on this, but this is what the web site shows. If it was a t500-1bd, it would be 1 ohm.
