    Does my daughter count? She absolutely loves music and is always asking me to turn it up or find the songs she likes. Would be awesome to get some subs and a amp as currently it is all stock. Would give me reason to buy the stuff for the front stage I've been eyeing up too. She picked the van too because she likes the power doors.

    But even making clean power at its rated output doesn't guarantee that it's not a piece of junk.

    I look at the bigger picture too though, sure it might do a decent number for the price even though they lied about it but what kind of quality is it. To me if they would lie that much about the numbers I'd have to guess that they have no problem selling low quality products too. There are plenty of amps out their that probably make what they claim or close too it that are pieces of junk as well. Or how about them ones that make rated but have a nice fuzzy line on a o-scope.

    Not trying to say it's your fault but most people would stop playing them and contact the company for warranty issues at the first sight of the problem instead of continuing to play them.

    Did you by chance spray any kind of cleaner on it? The surround looks dry and brittle.

    One thing I can see right away that I would like is subsonic only has two settings 16 or 32. A lot of the description is very gimmicky but I guess that's on part with a lot of companies really.

    One good 250+ amp alt would be enough if you have a decent reserve. Singer or mechman is where I would buy from.

    If you followed the directions exactly that would mean you did everything right so that's not really going to help us figure out what went wrong. Can you post pics of the install and write a rundown of the exact steps that you did and what tracks you used ?

    Were the speakers hooked up when this happened?

    You definintly can run a test wire to the battery to see if the amp is working.

    I might have been useful to know that the amp was cutting out on you previously. Still could have been a ground issue though.

    You could do it that way but you'll have a lot less wire and work involved if you just run it to the frame.

    I prefer the bolt nut and washer but if you have a big enough self tapper with a star washer that should work too. After you get it connected spray it with paint or rust inhibitor to keep it from rusting.
