If it was mechanical why would it only happen on certain songs? I was thinking it was port noise or a box leak.

I have had multiple power series amps and have never had one problem.If you have had and installed multiple amps and they all had issues what they have in common is you.

Buying from an unauthorized dealer pretty much guarantee's warranty issues.

How much a sub is moving does not necessarily determine how high it's output will be, actually at box tuning the excursion should be the least and the output the highest. -
Here's an idea just buy whatever the fuck you think you will like. these pick my damn sub for me threads are annoying as fuck honestly.

There are other options as well but fi/aa make top tier stuff I don't think you'll be going wrong with the havoc.

If you are trying to compare everything to the havoc and seeing if you can find something comparable that should give you the answer right there. Why search around for something comparable when what you want is readily available?
