comp rules what class would i be in
jack replied to old dude's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
do whatever comps you can. they all can be fun in their own way. but each org has different rules. just find out what one you are going to and find those rules but also you can just show up and the judge will inspect and place you in the classs that you are best suited for. -

first of all ssnw is a class for db drag what he is descibing isounds like usac. your best bet is to go to the website of the compettion entity and look at the vehical classifications. -

jack replied to tudski's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
jsut remember if you get pulled over you could be harrassed because your out of state dl does not mean your valid here. but state crossings are not an issue. no produce no animals. and if you are scared therre are detours around the state inspections. -
box built for ltr450racer690 2 12" dc lvl4 xl's

not everybody has 200 dollars worth of clamps at their disposal. just brush glue the surfaces for complete coverages and toss a few batteries on it, or some 45# plates, or ???the glue will hold it. a couple alignment scews or brad nails in the corners to hold it straight while glueing is all you need. fun fact......team fosgate, the guys who build the badass fosgate factory vehicals; dont use fasteners in the custom work they do. just wood glue and ca glue during assymbly. -

boarder rules

check with your state dept. they will be able to awnswer with more knowledge than anyone on this forum. make sure you have a valid passport it will help and if you dont have one by now good luck with getting one by then. also when going through the boarder crossing save yourself the trouble and dont bring anythingquestionable with you like drugs alchohol guns knives hell id even leave the cigs and sandwiches at home. but check with passport agencies etc. -

no chirps or anything. is the siren in a position to drain. you can use a dmm and check for voltage accross the red and black wires at the siren itself when you arm/disarm. or just put it into panic mode. if you dont have a dmm ir test light... just cut the red wire and run a lead from the siren to the positive post of the battery. also check your ground.

it only did a 139 at 41hz. that box was about 7 cubes but it played really flat. im guessing youd need about 10-12 cubes for a pairhttp://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee9/jac...er/plotfreq.jpg i built it for music not to be loud. but you can see from the testing that it was a very nice environment for the sub.

with music like that i dont care if you have 10000watt subs they will get hot. just because your truck could probably hit 130mph are you going to be able to drive it at that high rpm for long or are you going to need it to cool down. ive tested the xl and put close to 9k on a burp. iv ran my 15's with about 1500-2000 and hardly got them warm but it is all how you play them. run hard then let cool. power is only as good as the ability to get rid of the heat. long bass tones especially below your tuning are going to heat the shit out of the subs. play shorter basslines and you will see an ability to run longer before that smell of death -
in my oppinion going that dark is just unsafe and asking for trouble from both the legal aspects and thoe who just might be wondering what you are hiding
