  1. 15's will be hard to fit unless it has a monster opening.. because you will need to account for both subs and the port being on the same face and obvi running bigger subs requires more air space in turn requiring more port area.. 10s will fit no prob and 2 12's fit in every car i ever owned facing forward. but 15's will take some work if i had to take a guess idk maybe the 300 has a huge trunk opening. facing back its possible i wouldnt doubt two 15's.. sometimes cramming subs in a trunk though isnt ideal.. and facing forward only works if its SUPER sealed.. otherwise itll be louder in different configurations most of the time.. and gettign the best seal usually means using expanding foam or other not so neat procedures, being a new car idk if you wanna do that?
  2. its prolly the meter.. I measure my sub the other day one coil was reading 1ohm the other like 2.2 [i had everything out doing a rear deck sealing project] i was like WTF, took the sub out the box measured with another meter .. both 1 ohm.. and before i measured 2.2 like 5 dif times.. point being idk wtf happened to make it read crazy i thought i somehow lost a coil.. but it happens..
  3. try using a dif meter sometimes mine is just stupid when reading, i always have a secondary meter. make sure the fuse inst blown on your meter or something make sure its not super windy or theres anything pushing on the sub or anything lol i mean if i read correctly and its bnib i guess it could be DOA
  4. it depends what you mean by unloading.. and loading is kinda a vague subject for me, but usually "unloading" or loss of cone control or bottoming out has to do with tuning/ port area. too much port usually make the setup more sensitive in regards to playing below tuning. Which means running alot of port and playing below tuning will cause more mechanical stress \on the sub.. same thing with running too much air space.. you will gain efficiency with larger enclosures but it will be more sensitive to doing less than ideal things ie:. playing below tuning. running too much port kinda makes the sub act like it playing free air, as it cant build up enough pressure in the enclosure. running too little port chokes the sub and makes it act like your running a sealed box, too much pressure and it cant get out fast enough. generally speaking, playing below tuning isnt ideal, but it can be done without too many problems i mean i kinda consider 10hz max below tuning to be safe to a point.. more than that and your asking for issues, but thats not to say i havent seen it or done it. you mostly see loading issues when you have multiple subs and they are different distances from the port where there is a significant difference in how the pressure builds throughout the box. what youre hearing depends on the specs of the box.. if its alot of port and or airspace below tuning is just gonna sound muddy like shit. usually bottoming out ppl hear metal noises like the coil hitting the bottom of the motor usually caused by too much power too far below tuning.. and how do you know its tuned at 36hz.. how did you verify that? or maybe you just typed in the box specs, i guess that works.
  5. LMAO a recip saw.. i lold hard... pfffffft router is def the easiset but i been jiggin it up since day 1. i hate it, its the worst part of the box building process. especially if you have numerous baffles.. still need to buy me a route... [sigh] one day... plunge vs fixed 1/2" vs 1/4" gotta buy bits [which ones?] gotta buy a jasper jig.. its too much $ for holes and only holes well not really but i wouldnt know where to begin using a roundover bit... anyway back on topic lmao at the sawzall
  6. As said above you should have a .1v difference max. This is more often than not a ground issue. Fix your grounds and see if that helps.
  7. I thought it looked that way.. meh ill silicone it and blow it up or something.. idk
  8. Sweet I thought even though its old stuff its at least worth a few $$$
  9. Guy wants trade this stuff for black ops. Legacy is junk I know but I mean I have 2 black ops and it seems like a steal of a trade even so its not good stuff. What do you think?
  10. Lots of games for sale/ trade. Many of these games are freaking awesome games but Im not too much into gaming anymore and would like to move them out. Some I just bought for w/e and dont really care for like NHL 2k6, but 90% of em' I really enjoyed. Anyway I listed the games with the GAMESTOP USED PRICE next to them. I just went online 5 min ago and thats what it costs as of right now. I have two copies of Black Ops. Forza 3 LE has a keychain and a 2gb flashdrive, however the price listed is for the reg game. I like the two little trinkets and be happy to keep em if you dont want them but they have never been used. The DLC with forza 3 and Battlefield 3 have been used so you cant use them but the prices also reflect regular game only prices anyway. ALL games have been adult owned and as such are in very good condition with only minor scratches from normal usage only. Looking for anything really make me an offer interests include: Gaming Computers Electronics Car Audio Phones (Newer Ones) Plunge Router also tools in general. Really just w.e Game $$ battlefield 3 LE 35 arcade unplugged 07 ninja gaiden 2 10 viva pinata/ Banjo 15 black ops X 2 28 mw2 20 oblivion GOTY 18 madden 09* 01 madden 10 04 madden 11 13 madden 12 30 MLB 2k8 03 Gears 3 35 NFS: Hot Pursuit 18 Portal 2 28 Final Fantasy 13 18 Forza 3 LE 15 DJ Hero 30 Left For Dead* 30 NBA Live 06* 02 NHL 2K6 * 01 NBA 2k8* 04 Forza 2 * 02 GTA 4* 20 Burnout Paradise* 18 Resident Evil 5* 20 Tiger Woods 08* 03 $456 Total Used @ Gamestop * = games without cases, I will ensure they get to you safely in a cd sleeve i figured whats 5 min to put the paper pic in :/ Thanks for looking feel free to pm me or email @ [email protected]
  11. Well it looks like you net vol at 1.6 is a tad small and also 13sq in of port is kinda low for slot ports also. I mean you will be running quite a bit of power.. so 1.6 net should help with cone control and help to avoid damaging anything mechanically but I'd def run more port say 15-16 sq inches. With clean power and don't play too much below tuning and at 32 Hz you shouldn't need to play to far below that. I think you'd be ok.
  12. Lol Joe who knows... I once put a funky pup 10 in a 50 cube 132nd order bandpass and it slammed
  13. In my experience facing toward the cabin pushed all the way back is louder..but if you don't really care about numbers its not going to be a ton quieter faced toward the trunk.. it will still get down just fine. So if you had a grand master plan for the looks of it just go ahead and do it that way. I mean you'll prolly change it up sooner or later. We all do lol. I say find a place to put all of the other stuff maybe toward the front of the trunk that way you can change the box around without any problems and either you'll still have that pretty LEDs to look at.
  14. Also if you listen to any Decaf, or boosting and set your gains using the wrong tone... you could be clippin some.. iirc he never goes louder than -5 so you should use track 3 to set your gains. if you set it using the other two (-10, -15) you will clip. This may not apply to you but i thought it worth mentioning.
  15. Lol yea... I was thinking out loud here.. kinda looking ahead. Admittedly my thoughts aren't always the brightest but that's another story. Thus just confirmed what I already knew and sometimes I need to just go with my gut and not second guess the right way to do things. Thanks for the feedback though.
  16. Lmao no you ppl got.it wrong... I.fully understand how it works and why its important And I'm not arguing what you saying.. If anything it was.more of a.retorical question.. So don't come at me like oh so your a guy who says .33 max the gain and all.that stuff.. Save me all that I think we all know I'm a little more experienced than that. All I'm saying I am leery about buying an alternator that may useless to me within a year.. I know there is really no alternative, but I guess you can blame me for being cheap if anything else..
  17. oh The mileage of the car shouldn't make any difference. If you're building the system in it then you obviously plan to keep it for some time longer. My van had 120k when I put the alt in. $400 for an alt is better than the money you'd spend to fix fried amps. Oh no doubt.. im not arguing it would just suck if you buy an alt and 6 months later the car dies, and you have a proprietary piece of equipment that your going to have to sell and lose quite a bit on.. if i had a blazer or a common vehicle.. i wouldnt really mind, but.. then the 3800 is a really common motor just not so much in the ca world
  18. lmaO i knew someone was going to say that.. i cant tell you how many times ive seen that much power on stock alts.. I just dont want to drop $400 on an alt when the car its going in has 150k on it.. you know what i mean
  19. I ordered a 3400 for up front to go with my xp3000. Stock alt.. should be more than plenty for my bc2000 but would it be enough for two?
  20. so confused... why are emo people .. emo i do not understand in the slightest but he did get powned
  21. It was alot of fun.. this is just a recap of my stuff. Cant wait till the next one I just upped it to my Youtube, check it out yo more ppl should come out to these.. its awesome
  22. Just buy one used.. I see em for 500 all day maybe not the latest I motors but still
