David
it pounds, not sure on the T/L numbers but I would say low 140's Bassrace, it sounds superb, very very clean. Thanx guys.
LSN2meBoom916
Looks pretty clean. Nice job. Plexi takes a while to get good with for sure...I had to make a lil "concealer" for the glue that showed when I built my box. That was only the 2nd time I'd used it so, you know- we live, we learn, we improve hopefully. Nice job & the LEDs look good. David
thanx man I have been waiting for you to take alook at it. yea I learned a ton on this build, I wont lie I was scared to drill and screw the plexi in, I was afraid I was gonna crack it or scratch it, its not cheap so I was nervous, now that I understand it abit more, I will deffinitly be doing more of it. Christian just called, after playing around with all of the settings he says its SLAMMMMIN, I thought the T3000.1BD might be a bit much for the subz so I had everything turned way down, I told him before he left I thought it was a low 140 bassrace, and if its slamming like he says then Im positive he can bassrace the 139.9 class. Forevrbumpn
looks really clean man, thinking of competing with it? I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. First off great install all around, exaxctly the way we wanted it to come out, looks good, clean and sounds great!!!. We got the amp adjusted a little better and I think the SX's are breaking in well. Seems like they sound better already. I will try to get it on my meter tomorrow. It is loud and clean!!! Official Scores at the Dash. and YES. My Bass Boxing is louder than Burp! - 155.5 DB Drag Burp- 155.6 - IASCA Bass Boxing on music (30 seconds straight) sealed up Builds 1. LSN2meBoom916
As far as the unpainted inside lip behind the plexi-I know it's not major but if it's buggin you (& we all try to be perfectionsists) I have a suggestion: If you pull one of the subs, and can get your arm in there all the way to the back of the box where that unpainted section is, I would say try to seal off or just mask/tape the plexi, and hand paint/brush paint that section with some black or white paint. You can use a songe brush to minimize the look of brush strokes in the paint too. That way you can peel off the tape for a clean edge once it's dried, and replace that sub and no one will ever know it was once left un-finished. I kinda had to do something similar on Laws box- inside the box, behind/on the sides of the amp rack where I vinyled it white, I fell about 1/2" short on the vinyl and at just the right angle you could see the bare wood. So I taped a 1" brush on a painters stick to extend it and painted that bish up w/ some white latex paint. You would never know the diff now tho...cept I told ya Just an idea.
