Hey guys, need advice on running 5000wRMS. What am I looking at for electrical? I live in Australia so the only thing available are yellow tops and DCpower or mechman alts. Have big 3 done have enough 0 gauge to choke a building so working out what else I'm looking at. I know it isn't a lot to most of you, but I'm limited with funds at the moment. Blew it all on my previous build. This is for another car of mine which also isn't done.. haha.

I'm not an out of control driver, I'm completely in control.. only sideways..

-Holden Rodeo mini truck project, soon to be running SR20 on 13lbs of boost.

-Landcruiser UTE running 1UZFE v8 11" Lift on 35" MT Classic II's wrapped in Cooper STTs.

^^ and the list goes on..

I would run a 250+ amp alt, the biggest battery under the hood, and an XS Power D3100 or two in the back if its a TRUE 5kwrms

Sounds good thanks bro. Cannot get the XS batteries. Only have yellow tops. Haha I'll have to work out how many I need.

Had an estimate of 6400 for an alpine/clarion setup dealer said it "should" hit around 160db with the custom boxes he was going to make for me..doubtful with so much area to move but, budget is way below that :( any ideas on cheaper brands for that kind of Spl setup? really didnt want to try any Boss or soundstorm, thinking Quantum figure around $150 per speaker "$1800 total" and $1700 to power it, first actual big setup for the van.

If you have access to Mechman then you should have access to XS Power batts.

The shipping & customs on batts that big would be ridiculous compared to an alt..

Yes I end up paying almost $300.00 for shipping on battery. My alternator is STILL 180 to ship standard international mail.
