fr34kout
Thanks Orion, sorry don't know your actual name but seen you post a lot. You still in Germany or you back in the states?
fr34kout
If it were to pass they would force shops to stop selling and installing the products which would make a huge impact. It might not affect the average person as much, as if they got busted for a noise violation this would just be tacked on.
OrionStang
Thanks Orion, sorry don't know your actual name but seen you post a lot. You still in Germany or you back in the states? I'm back in California. We get alot of heat for the bass in SoCal, but there's no talk of this kind of bill. TheBetterMethod
Just wondering though. Would there be a loop hole if a New Car Dealership installed the equipment into a new previously untitled car? Would it then be considered OE? But seriously. There's no f-ing way this can pass right? Who can possibly be that stupid? I'd certainly write a testimony, but I'm not good with that kinda thing. 2005 Subaru Outback Wagon Pioneer 9400BH Fi Q 15, SAZ1500dV3 The first build>>> http://www.stevemead...-outback-build/ 140.9 @ 36hz Sealed on dash! fr34kout
I mean I understand to a certain extent why they're trying to do this. I will admit, there are a lot of people here who are unrespectful in the way they play their sounds, but what they're trying to do is punish everyone for what the minority is doing. Ford302Redneck
I don't believe it will pass. As some cars come FACTORY with everything listed. Do you know much how it would cost the average person to switch everything in there car just to obey this law. Stupid law. I could see a law for loudness. But not size and power and such. fr34kout
I didn't really write anything, I just filled out the information and it asks if you support or oppose it. But it asks if you're going to be at the hearing, and I put yes.
Team808
So all the car companies that use aftermarket companies to build thier speakers/decks/amps are gonna be in trouble .Infinity, jbl, kicker, clarion, rockford fosgate .Sucks that there is gonna have to be all these recalls ,so the car companies can replace the aftermarket product, with a factory product.Dumb asses ,this will never fly . TheBetterMethod
No Redneck, the restrictions apply only to aftermarket not OE. No one would have to change anything if it's stock. 2005 Subaru Outback Wagon Pioneer 9400BH Fi Q 15, SAZ1500dV3 The first build>>> http://www.stevemead...-outback-build/ 140.9 @ 36hz Sealed on dash! fr34kout
If you read through the law, it states that it's banning aftermarket not stock systems. So if lets say a sports car comes with an 11 speaker package with sub, that's fine since it's OE. Once you add your own equipment in whether it be the most basic aftermarket deck or the biggest sub you can find, that's when it becomes illegal.
