It wouldnt surprise me that his ss filter is off. Playing below tuning is going to toast your coil? lol. I didnt see a blown coil i saw an unraveled coil. i didnt care to watch his last video...the whole way though.. so i dont know what it looks like. Truth be told, you COULD run your deck with the sub level and bass boost at almost max, but your better oscope it clean coming out of the deck as well as coming out of the amp #2 playing the sub full tilt with the trunk open. That's never a good idea, can you say unloading? #3 Playing full tilt with the car at idle. I can see if he had the electricals to back it up (200+ amp alternator with high idle output, maybe 2 big batteries in the back), but it seems like all he had was a spare battery.
