audiofanaticz Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 one major difference between Fi and everyone is that Fi makes their subs in house in the US. its not chinese parts pieced together. does that matter? thats up to you. This makes it easy for me to make decisions when I buy things.. Our econemy is trashed enough, buying everything over seas is not going to help. Im not saying 1 woofer will make a world of change, but everything helps!!
Superjay Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 motors are CURRENTLY Chinese sourced. Coils come from Florida. We build the woofers in Georgia. Some of the parts come from China, some from the USA. in the very near future ALL parts will come from the USA. The new product (2010) has all been re-engineered and all parts are our own...nobody else uses our parts. They were designed here, and tooled for us exclusively. The only parts other companies use is the baskets...and we own the tools for the baskets (this has been argued at length before so I'm not getting into it...but we do own the tools for the baskets) T3 is an American Company that supports other American companies. the transition is slow, but it is happening. All T3 subs will be made in the USA of USA parts in the very near future. BTW, did we meet at finals in Laughlin? i was with PB then i believe you. dbdrag finals? no, i didnt go. i went to meca finals and midwest spl finals. I met quite a few from Bassick a few years back at that finals. That's why I asked. nvr2loud Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I was in the same boat as you on trying to decide between these 2 companies and I decided to go with T3 Audio mainly because I wasnt getting responses to my emails from FI. Thats to bad because FI is also a local company for me. I had also asked for their phone number so I could talk to somebody about the order and I was told that it would be better to just order through email. So I called up T3 Audio the next day talked to Ed who was very helpful and ordered my subs.
TeejayBee Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 is the cooling on the T.1000 as good as the BL? one major difference between Fi and everyone is that Fi makes their subs in house in the US. its not chinese parts pieced together. does that matter? thats up to you. because t3 dosnt make all the subs in a factory in Georgia i forgot, id pick the t1000 i ran two and loved them i heard a fi bl was nice but id take the t1000,

So I'd say that yes, they are built in the U.S. Coils made in Florida, motors magnetized here, glue from down the street. Working on new cone tooling in house. In a few months we plan to be casting baskets in Cali, cutting top and back plates in house, and pressing spiders here, and molding surrounds in the midwest.
