The US form of gov't compared to most other "British" forms of democracy is pretty ass-backwards. If a prime minister lies to the people the opposition can call for an election. It's that simple. In the US, the president can do whatever the f he wants and get away with it. There are no checks/balances appropriate enough to deal with such problems. Maybe you can call it an imperialist autocracy. As far as the gov't is concerned, the more stupid the voters the better.

An imperialism eventually falls... I'm sure the coming recession will be the straw that breaks the back.
