vettetruck Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 ok, i just plugged the numbers into the torres calculator that is on here and i came up with a 40.65Hz frequency tuning per sub. so you should look at a 35-40Hz subsonic filter. Normally you would only go 2Hz less than your port tuning and NOTHING more than that because you can bottom out the subs and burn/blow the coils. If you havent already id recommend turning OFF any bassboost you may have on and for setting the gains on your amp make sure your headunit's EQ is set to FLAT. if you do not have it set to flat it will really screw it up when you try to tune the amp with the dmm later on. Unless you have an oscope i really dont recommend messing with any bass-boost or loudness equalization because they always cause a lot of clipping on your signal which in turn destroys your subs/speakers. Thanks a lot man, I'll adjust it now. Is there any quick way to get the box to a lower hz tune? I'd like to be at 32ish.

I hear my subs picking it up just not really projecting it like I think they should. Do I just need a bigger box? Or what?

So I'm just gonna have to make an attachment and just align it on the outside with the port? How much longer? Thanks guys, just want the most out of these until I man up and buy the Fi btl or dc lvl 4's.

What would you do? What dimensions would I need for 30Hz? I have a trailblazer SS so room isn't an issue.
