If it was a 2wd orginally a 350 should drop right in. If you want to run lockers, I would choose selectable lockers, they will be more streetable. If you really wanted some low end torque run 5:13 gears. My dad is running 4:88s with 36" irocks on a Dana 60 in a jeep grand Cherokee with i6 Jeep Cherokee 4dr -4.75 in front, new rusty's 4.5 in rear leafs -micky thompson 35x14.50x15 -locker rear -Rusty's offroad Engine/transmission/transfer case/crossmember/gas tank skid plates -Warn front bumper with 8000lb winch -Custom rear bumper -Warrior product tube doors (summertime) -Optima redtop (starter) -26XK miles and still runs like a bat out of hell Kenwood H/U 1/0 wire, 136 amp alt 200 ah batteries 12.7 daily 2 Apsm 1500 @ 2 ohm strapped on zv3 d1 with ns softparts Mb quart 125.4 wired to 4 aura 6's 3.6 cube box tuned to 36 plays down to 23hz Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

lifted_silverado Posted March 2, 2011 Report Share Posted March 2, 2011 I agree the 4:88s should run nicely if you drop the 350 in there and you'll habe more acceleration from a stop. The swampers are great tires, they look really good and beefy on 16" or lower rims. I personally run 37" nitto mud terrains on a 20" rim, downfall on them they are super loud and are wearing pretty quickly. The positive is they pull and look really cool. I've heard good things from the toyo m/ts but theyre arent nearly as agressive lookin as the swampers. My .02 Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year.
