I am trying to get into running some comps this summer (never ran in one) and don't know much about alts. I have a BTL 18 on a Powerbass xa4000d with 2 sprinter 370f AGM batteries. The batts put out either 100 or 125 ah each. I've done the big 3 and my wiring is up to par but I want to be able to run in comps. If you are looking to do 5krms with a single alt, I'd get the DC to be safe but either way both are good alts.
