Jd1102
I have my own ideas that work really well so far. Power is a BIG part of it olds u don't wanna speak your ideas?
Autruche
As far as I know, the subs xmax, fs, and sd can dictate the port that should be used. IE: your sub will displace 'x' amount of air, and controlling that air displacement with the proper port will help yield a better response. But the power you give the subs, and the bl of the subs are something else I can't quite grasp entirely right now. Then you also have the problem with some people wanting to tune ridiculously low. If I had the money to whip up boxes, I'd try to create my own formula and get a better grasp of how to work with all of the specs. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Ray
Stupid fuckin phone... Ok.... So it start with these after displacment sizes. 12 - 2.7 15-4.4 18-5.7 These sizes scale down from here for smaller less bl subs They go up only on 18's if we cant run rms to the driver. Port area is affected by fs, ebp, and power. Lets talk about a few diff subs and a few different boxes for different applications. Lets take a id q 12... Looking for a flat resp that plays down to 28 Small motor, low fs, low power. I say 1.5 with 13per tuned to 36 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz
