built my table today 2 x 2 x 1/8 steel with .25" top plate and it is strong as hell n weighs like 200+ pounds haha i'll get more pictures later

the sexy table ones were done in my brothers warm welding shop with his miller 240 volt

welding super hot 26+ volts haha

my little lincoln 140 cant reach its full potential because i only have 15 amp breaker and it needs a 20 :( (if anyone can point me in right direction to add fuse panel/20 amp breaker in garage it would be greatly appreciated)

and welding the .25" steel plate it was to cold and welder didnt like it and kept spitting but it turned out decent enough im happy

then got some angle iron and made some 90's so i can weld things together or hold piece wood straight made 4 one for each corner

sorry i checked this thread out wayyy late. table looks good brotha, i used to have one that size but it would always get in the way. mine didnt have casters, but two people could lift it easily and move it around. what im doing now is actually a .25 plate on my woodworking bench. thick is bestter cause you constantly tack to it and grind it out, but i think .25 will be just fine. welds look good too brotha!

yeah my brother kept telling me a 4x4 table is a big table but i plan on getting rid of that ping ping table and placing table over in corner and with the casters i can roll it anywhere i had rolled it outside today in the sun and did some work out in sun it was nice haha.

this bitch is decently heavy took 3 of us to unload it from brothers truck haha

was a bitch

as for top plate thickness i donno im hoping .25s good but i do have another 4x4' sheet of .25 i could double up and make a 1/2" plate
