ahoz28 Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 Does the method of charging AGM batteries change when in a large group? I have six AGM odyssey 1700 and might add more later. So I had a brain fart and thought I could use a bigger charger but unlike my small trusty AGM charger, which charges no higher than 13.5v, this big wheeled beast starts at 13.5 and climes to 15.7 before I pull the plug I just want to charge all the batteries together without taking them out if possible.

I just use the intellicharger nad it goes into float mode on its own. fr34kout Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 Nope, you want a Constant Amperage / Constant Voltage charger. Don't want to charge those batteries above ~15 volts or you could damage them.

Leave them wired in and just plug them in with an extension cord. Those supplies also help when doing demos I wanted to use the xs power 12 volt charger and just hard wire it in. I'll look into the power supply idea. thanks
