RyanJ
Hey there guys. I still haven't bought any of my system because I had to pay for something else. Anyways, I'm still buying 2 Sundown Audio SA-12's D4 for my car. All the electrical is going to be stock, except big III. Because of this, I can only run 1200-1400 watts of power to stay above the 12's. I'm not sure if I will upgrade a h/o alt anytime soon, probably not. I probably wont get one until I find a job or something like that and that may take years . Because of that, should I just buy an AQ1200D or the AP1500D. I was going to buy an AQ2200D for future builds, or somesort, but the money is tough. I know it's only an extra 100$ but, that can save me alot. Anyways, which amp would be better for the subs, 1 AQ1200D or 1 AP1500D, or should I just save up and get the AQ2200D. RyanJ
Don't compare AP to AQ. Get the 22, you'll love it. I love my 35 I'm not comparing AQ to AP. I know AQ is way better, but I was just asking what's the difference. No biggie . And I'll probably end up getting the 22 for power I can use later if I upgrade. Thanks. TeamHT
AQ is obviously a much better brand. My only advice is this: if you can afford the AQ1200, get it. You will LOVE it. If you can not, get the AP. It's actually simple as that. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Guest
whats the main difference? the power output that is indicated by the model number. i had the ap1500 and i now own the aq1200 and the sound quality difference from the AP to the AQ switch is amazing. dont get me wrong the ap was a great amp, but its worth the extra ~$100 for the audioque 1200
Red4DrPos
I cant say anything about the AP, but the AQ 2200 is a very nice amp. Im running it on a Duralast bat + hc800 and a 145 amp alt at 1ohm at 46.9 volts and it drops from 14.8 to 14.1. So if you do get the 2200 then id be easy with the gains a bit with stock electrical.
