I read through the entire thread and it's really a great informative thread. I'm still somewhat confused on the PCM controlled though. I want to do it to my 1992 Dodge Dakota 5.2L V8 but can't find much on wiring. Any help would be appreciated.

  • 2 weeks later...

Need help from someone applying this to a 2.2l s10.

I have added the diodes to the main wire coming into the alt and it changes nothing.

I tried 1, 2 and 3 and the output of the alt stays the same.

Testing with stock alternator at the moment, when I get this working I will put the H.O. back in and recalibrate.

CURRENT SYSTEM:

  • Alternator:
    1. Stock alt on mids/highs
    2. Isolated DC Power 270 SP - Charging @ 16.8v
  • Batteries: (2) XS D1400s
  • Power Cable: Double Runs of 1/0 KNU Kolossus Fleks
  • Headunit: 80-PRS
  • Sub Amp: DC 5.0k
  • Subwoofers: 2 RE MT 15s /PSI dual .7ohm recones
  • Subwoofer Enclosure: 9.1cubes @ 32hz - brutal.
  • Mids & Highs Amp: CT125.4
  • Active Components:
    • Mids RE XXX 6.5c
    • Highs - 3 RE XXX tweeters per side(A pillar)
  • Noise Control: Damplifier Pro all over the cab.

Just Becareful guys. Im glad I started something so helpful but I would hate to see someone damage their vehicle.

lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz.
