This is a great mod, i havent had it installed very long but others on here have ! This should be a STICKY !! Simple and cheap !! In My 1999 Ford it went in the Orange/light blue wire in the above diagram , hope this helps any other Ford people !! anthonyott99 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Share Posted April 22, 2011 Its ironic that the LED for battery voltage is red haha Its orange, at 15.6 its red. RF amps shut off at 16.0 I had one the was 15.6 volts warm but cold was ~16 volts and my amps wont even turn on lol. This is what mine is doing and i have two installed. Its at like 16.3 cold and my highs amp wont even come on until it drops into the mid 15's, is this going to hurt my charging system or my amp ?? Should i just remove one of them ? It drops to 15.5 warm and was only going to 15.9 cold but when it sits for a day or so without starting it goes up to 16.3 or so when it is first started up. I may just leave it for now and do more real-world everyday testing on this mod, after i have started it today, now it is staying in the 15.5 to 15.9 range so maybe it just spiked cuz the car hadnt been started in a few days ?? anthonyott99 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Share Posted April 22, 2011 I was totally scared that i was going to fry my ECU or hurt my Amp going over 16 volts, so i removed one of the 6 amp diodes and now i have a constant 15.4 and at least it is safe !!!
