Honestly, if this is a daily setup stop referring to impedance rise. This should not be used to decide what nominal ohm load should use or what power RMS you should look at. There are many variables to figuring out impedance rise not limited to your enclosure. You will not know how your enclosure is going to affect the field until you test, so speculating on what rise you're going to see to guess what power you'll be putting out is pointless. It's true the amp will not always see rated power at 1 ohm but its also true you will be seeing that power. Which could also mean pushing a driver to its mechanical limits. You know what you should do...adjust the gains or wire to a lower impedance. I recommend NOT counting on rise to save yourself.

Sorry for talking of rise, just posted what I'm looking for from the amp and figured might as well post it. I won't do it anymore.

I plan to get the amp tested at the local shop to see the power I will be getting, and have him set the gain accordingly. But back on topic, is the XA3000D a reliable amp and do yall believe it would be put to good use in a daily driver setup powering my SC DD3515f in a 4.5ft^3 box tuned to 35hz? I'm not looking to go into much comps, but want to checkout one or two, kinda get a taste of everything else out there.

And I'm getting it used off of Dwright27. Won't be costing $5-600. And I do plan to upgrade battery again, but my current one in my truck is pretty much done, I need to replace it and the XS D3400 is the best battery I can find that fits my budget.

I understand man, your telling me not to assume unknown variables will ensure my sub doesn't blow when giving it more power than it should handle.

Well, I've heard mix things about the power handling of the DD3515e series, and nothing about the DD3515f series, let alone one's with the Supercharged upgrade. So I don't really know the limits of what I can run to it safely. My reason for wanting a 3000w amp is that I can adjust the power according to my need, and it's better to have and not need then to need and not have. Assuming I set my gain right, should my 3515 be able to handle the power?

That's my advice, adjust the gain to a lower output opposed to impedance rise and you can ensure a strong, daily, beater without having to worry.

i bought two off ebay and i just hooked one up today. it was a good upgrade from my hifonics bxi2006...but thats probly not saying much ....but i can say im not dissapointed or let down in any way...def glad i picked up 2 for 650!

its in a trailblazer, with a 9515g wired to 1ohm before box rise lol , 4.5cubes at ~35hz , stock 150amp alt, stock HU. it moved the dd prettty good, got some nice excursion...flex up to the front doors...heavy pressure on the eardrums...kind of hurt, actually had to turn it down.

gain was about maybe a lil less than 1/4 up with no bass boost...im going to set it with the scope tomorow or at least try to.

cant really comment on the reliability as ive only had it hooked up less than 24hrs.

but ive noticed that almost all the used xa-3000s ive seen posted on forums do not have mounting feet....or they broke off i guess i should say....dont really know what to think about that. but it sucks cause i had to mock up a little mounting bracket..takes away the 'clean' look of the amp....dont mount on box i guess? i never have anyways

i cant wait to intall my dc alt, 3 sprinter batts, and the big 3 to see the difference solid electrical makes.

I'm looking for lot's of pressure, so if it hurts my ears than I would be happy.

And yeah, guy I'm buying from made his own feet, I'm trying to figure out where to mount it once I get it. Don't want to mount to my box, any ideas of what I can do?

Well I hope my electrical doesn't burn up too much lol! If I see major voltage drop with the D3400 up front, I'll probably buy a cheaper XS or 2 for the back.
