I would like to use mdf but I can't afford it right now. I am new to this so I'm not completely sure. sprkn_ranger Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 I'm not sure your gonna find a cheaper material that is suitable, you could use something cheaper but your gonna need to use more bracing or double up the material to get the same strength of mdf, and at that point you haven't saved much. Supercharged DCs Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 3/4" MDF is pretty standard for boxes, it should be fine What are you looking to put in it? Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.
